Jeliko\u017e je Kypr rozd\u011blen na \u0159eckou a tureckou \u010d\u00e1st, je i jeho kuchyn\u011b ovlivn\u011bna gastronomi\u00ed t\u011bchto dvou zem\u00ed. Na ka\u017ed\u00e9m rohu si tak m\u016f\u017eete pochutnat t\u0159eba na souvlaki, co\u017e je ko\u0159en\u011bn\u00e9 grilovan\u00e9 hov\u011bz\u00ed, ku\u0159ec\u00ed \u010di jehn\u011b\u010d\u00ed maso na \u0161pejli, kter\u00e9 se \u010dasto pod\u00e1v\u00e1 s pita chlebem, zeleninou \u010di bramborami a tzatziki. L\u00e1kav\u00fd je i pokrm zvan\u00fd afelia, co\u017e je marinovan\u00e9 vep\u0159ov\u00e9 maso na \u010derven\u00e9m v\u00edn\u011b, nebo stifado. I v tomto j\u00eddle figuruje v\u00edno, tentokr\u00e1t je v n\u011bm ale nalo\u017eeno maso hov\u011bz\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sp\u00ed\u0161e v Severn\u00edm Kypru, tedy na tureck\u00e9 stran\u011b ostrova pak m\u016f\u017eete ochutnat adana k\u00f6fte \u2013 pikantn\u00ed placi\u010dky z mlet\u00e9ho masa p\u0159ipravovan\u00e9 na grilu a pod\u00e1van\u00e9 s koriandrem, petr\u017eelkou a cibulkou, tureckou \u201epizzu\u201c s mlet\u00fdm jehn\u011b\u010d\u00edm zvanou lahmacun nebo grilovan\u00e9 maso na ploch\u00e9 jehlici \u0161i\u0161 kebab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e1rodn\u00edm j\u00eddlem Kypru, kter\u00e9 by m\u011bl vyzkou\u0161et p\u0159i sv\u00e9 n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u011b ka\u017ed\u00fd, je pak kleftiko neboli pomalu pe\u010den\u00e9 jehn\u011b\u010d\u00ed maso p\u0159ipravovan\u00e9 ve speci\u00e1ln\u00edch hlin\u011bn\u00fdch pec\u00edch pod\u00e1van\u00e9 s bramborami \u010di fazolkami, kter\u00e9 m\u00e1 zaj\u00edmavou historii. Kleftiko m\u016f\u017eeme p\u0159elo\u017eit jako \u201ekraden\u00e9 maso\u201c. M\u00edstn\u00ed mu tak \u0159\u00edkaj\u00ed proto, \u017ee v dob\u00e1ch, kdy ostrov dobyli Turci, si Kyp\u0159an\u00e9 museli vlastn\u00ed maso doslova ukr\u00e1st a tajn\u011b ho up\u00e9ct na samot\u011b, daleko od zrak\u016f dobyvatel\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed si kypersk\u00fd dobytek brali m\u00edsto dan\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rovn\u011b\u017e n\u00e1rodn\u00edm j\u00eddlem je pak tzv. meze. Jedn\u00e1 se o opravdu velk\u00fd pokrm, kter\u00fd nasyt\u00ed n\u011bkolik lid\u00ed a zahrnuje mnoho men\u0161\u00edch tradi\u010dn\u00edch kypersk\u00fdch j\u00eddel a jednohubek, jako jsou sal\u00e1ty, mo\u0159sk\u00e9 plody, s\u00fdry i pokrmy z masa, kter\u00e9 jsou pops\u00e1ny v\u00fd\u0161e. Bezmas\u00fdm pokrm\u016fm v\u00e9vod\u00ed s\u00fdr halloumi, jen\u017e se vyr\u00e1b\u00ed z kravsk\u00e9ho \u010di ov\u010d\u00edho ml\u00e9ka. Jeliko\u017e vznik\u00e1 pouze na Kypru a jeho v\u00fdroba m\u00e1 tis\u00edciletou tradici, stal n\u00e1rodn\u00edm s\u00fdrem ostrova a byl by to skoro zlo\u010din, kdybyste ho na sv\u00e9 dovolen\u00e9 alespo\u0148 jednou neochutnali. Grilovan\u00fd s\u00fdr halloumi je na Kypru pochoutkou \u010d\u00edslo jedna a \u010dasto se pod\u00e1v\u00e1 v r\u00e1mci hostiny meze, j\u00edst ho v\u0161ak m\u016f\u017eete i sma\u017een\u00fd nebo v sal\u00e1tu zak\u00e1pnut\u00fd olivov\u00fdm olejem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obl\u00edben\u00fd je i sal\u00e1t horiatiki, kter\u00fd je obdobou \u0159eck\u00e9ho sal\u00e1tu, nebo cizrnov\u00fd hummus. V tavern\u011b si m\u016f\u017eete objednat tak\u00e9 kol\u00e1\u010d pln\u011bn\u00fd vaj\u00ed\u010dkem a \u0161pen\u00e1tem spanakopita \u010di s\u00fdrov\u00fd kol\u00e1\u010d pln\u011bn\u00fd feta s\u00fdrem triopitta. Va\u0161e chu\u0165ov\u00e9 poh\u00e1rky polecht\u00e1 i sladk\u00e9 pe\u010divo pln\u011bn\u00e9 tahini zvan\u00e9 tahinli \u00e7\u00f6rek, baklava, kterou jist\u011b zn\u00e1te sp\u00ed\u0161e z tureck\u00fdch oblast\u00ed, \u010di su\u0161enky koulourakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kdo si potrp\u00ed na zdrav\u011bj\u0161\u00ed j\u00eddla i v r\u00e1mci dezert\u016f, ne\u0161l\u00e1pne vedle s vynikaj\u00edc\u00edm kypersk\u00fdm sez\u00f3nn\u00edm ovocem, jako jsou \u017elut\u00e9 melouny, kiwi, hroznov\u00e9 v\u00edno, gran\u00e1tov\u00e1 jablka, f\u00edky, jahody, t\u0159e\u0161n\u011b nebo specifick\u00e9 mini ban\u00e1ny. Kypr je toti\u017e d\u00edky perfektn\u00edm podnebn\u00fdm i ter\u00e9nn\u00edm podm\u00ednk\u00e1m a tis\u00edcilet\u00e9 tradici v\u00fdroby v\u00edna, kter\u00e1 sah\u00e1 a\u017e do antiky, kol\u00e9bkou vina\u0159stv\u00ed. V\u00edno se zde p\u011bstuje p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm v oblastech kolem Limassolu a Pafosu, a to hlavn\u011b ve vy\u0161\u0161\u00edch nado\u0159sk\u00fdch v\u00fd\u0161k\u00e1ch. Ochutnat byste m\u011bli rozhodn\u011b vyhl\u00e1\u0161en\u00e9 sladk\u00e9 dezertn\u00ed v\u00edno Commandaria, kter\u00e9 je m\u00edstn\u00ed specialitou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pokud si ob\u010das r\u00e1di d\u00e1te n\u011bco ost\u0159ej\u0161\u00edho, vyzkou\u0161ejte lik\u00e9r z \u010derven\u00fdch pomeran\u010d\u016f farfal nebo p\u00e1lenku zivania, je\u017e se pod\u00e1v\u00e1 s kandovan\u00fdm ovocem.
