Coral Cotillo Beach

Coral corrillo , our third holiday here and to be honest we can’t fault anything, love the hotel, staff excellent, my partner is a celiac and they look after her so well, the town is beautiful, hired a car for 3 days and saw pretty much the whole island and it’s just lovely 👌

This is an open and honest review, based on our experience. Bed & breakfast, 7 nights Positives....welcoming, helpful staff on reception. Lovely, bright, modern hotel, great aircon in our room, hairdryer provided, tv with some UK channels. I asked for a kettle, and it was provided almost immediately. I mentioned in passing that mosquitoes in the room were a problem, and there were 2 plug in mosquito repellants in place when we got back. Beautiful hotel, lovely pool area with pool bar. Pool area spotlessly clean, plenty of sun beds. Pool was icy cold so we didn't use it. Daily maid service is excellent. Breakfast is average, but good supply of food and staff super-efficient at table clearing. We had a ground floor room, leading directly onto the pool area, which was good. Negatives (from our viewpoint).....many shops/eateries nearby were closed until the middle of June. We were not aware (until we spoke to the Jet2 rep) that this is " a beach lover and surfers paradise" . There is literally nothing else to do in the area. In the evenings, both the hotel and the town were dead. There were maybe 8 to 10 people at the most in the Solar bar on an evening. There was no comfortable seating area where you could enjoy a drink after a meal, so we spent a lot of time in our room after our evening meal, sitting on the beds. The WiFi was "hit or miss" dropping out on a regular basis, this morning there was no sliced bread available to make toast (on asking we were told "later" but it never arrived). Could be more drawers/shelves for clothes storage If you love surfing or lying on a beach all day, then this is the place for you. We personally felt it was a great hotel, just in the wrong location. Would we return? No, for the reason that there was nothing to entertain us during the day, and majority of shops were either food shops or surf shops, so perhaps we didnt do enough research before we came, but the hotel itself and the staff were excellent, can't fault them. We had to take a 1 hour bus ride to Corralejo to find the kind of holiday we had wanted, with a variety of shops, bars, restaurants and a bit of life.

Arrived on 30th May. Firstly the pool looks lovely but it is absolutely freezing cold. It’s 2oclock now and only 1 person has been brave enough to go in, not even the children have been in. I love reading a book at the side of/ in the pool but I simply can’t do that here as way to cold. The food we found to be warm at best, certainly not hot. We also feel that some of the dishes are way too salty. It’s a smallish hotel so choice is Ltd. Even though we are now in June we think the hotel is extremely quiet and presumably that’s why they don’t have any entertainment either day or night. Yes it’s very windy here but we knew this before we arrived. I think it’s helps take a bit of heat away. Everything here is clean and our room was cleaned daily. The air conditioning unit in our room barely feels like it is working, and the ceiling fan just pushes round warm stuffy air, making it uncomfortable to sleep in. All in all the hotel is basic and the area has very little in the way of shops and bars etc

Location was perfect. Amenities near by short stroll to the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious with made service every day. All the staff were really friendly and helpful when ever you came across them. They all seemed very hard working. The area does have a lot development around the whole village so be prepared for that. Am looking forward to going back to see how the resort has developed. I hope it keeps it's village charm

The location was good near beaches but what made the holiday truly remembered was Renny the animator in the pool exercises, yoga, and dance lessons. His personality made the holiday. Gracias.
