Paradisus by Melia Fuerteventura

★★★★★ We returned to Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura after our first stay in September 2025, and this second visit confirmed exactly why we wanted to come back. Once again, the experience was exceptional, exceeding our expectations through outstanding service, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel impresses at first sight with its unique beachfront location. The combination of Fuerteventura’s stunning natural surroundings, the modern yet elegant architecture, and the high-quality design of the entire resort creates an atmosphere where you can relax from the very first moment and leave everyday life behind. However, what we would particularly like to highlight is not only the beautiful resort or the excellent gastronomy, but above all the people who bring this hotel to life every day. Throughout our entire stay, we were welcomed everywhere with extraordinary friendliness, attentiveness, and warmth. Whether at the reception, in the restaurants and bars, in the guest experience area, or by the housekeeping team, we were always greeted with a smile, genuine appreciation, and a clear desire to make our stay as pleasant as possible. What sets this hotel apart from many other luxury resorts, in our opinion, is the fact that hospitality is not merely part of the company philosophy but is genuinely lived and embodied by the staff. You do not feel like a room number or just one of many guests, but rather like a welcome and valued visitor whose well-being truly matters to the team. We were especially impressed by the exceptional care and willingness to help after a foot injury occurred during our stay. Assistance was offered immediately, our well-being was checked on regularly, and every possible form of support was provided. This was not only professional service but, above all, genuine compassion and sincere human kindness. It is in situations like these that the true quality of a hotel becomes evident, and Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura demonstrated impressively the high standards by which service and guest care are practiced here. We were equally delighted once again by the gastronomy. The quality of the food is outstanding, the selection is varied, and the presentation is of the highest standard. Particularly impressive is the consistently high quality maintained throughout the entire stay. Individual requests and dietary restrictions were always handled reliably and attentively, which is by no means something to be taken for granted and reflects a high level of professionalism. In addition, the entire resort offers a pleasant, relaxed, and at the same time refined atmosphere. Despite the size of the property, everything feels personal, warm, and welcoming. It is precisely this combination of luxury, professionalism, and humanity that makes the hotel so special to us. There are many beautiful hotels in the world. However, only a few manage to make you look forward to returning while you are still there. Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura is undoubtedly one of those special places for us. The fact that this was already our second stay and that we are already planning our next visit is probably the greatest compliment one can give a hotel. Anyone looking for a resort that stands out not only because of its location and facilities but above all because of its exceptional hospitality, genuine warmth, and outstanding service quality will find exactly that here. A very nice week long holiday. Food was excellent - breakfast buffet very strong, lunch at Shack Bar was excellent with great service, and evening meals at the Asian fusion and Italian restaurants were superb. No limit to the amount you can use these à la carte restaurants too, a nice touch. Our deluxe double room was very good, comfortable beds, strong shower, clean modern decor and housekeeping was excellent. Critical points are a lack of family activities - the bar with two pool tables doesn’t open until 19:00, no tennis courts or table tennis tables etc. Also no gift shop or convenience store - bearing in mind the location is on its own / out of town, that provision would be an excellent idea. Although service was always excellent - another couple of servers at the Ginger bar for daytime coffees and evening cocktails would make everything run smoother. More of a point about the environment rather than the hotel itself - the location is VERY windy. Unsurprisingly the area has a wind surfing and kite surfing specialism, but if you’re there more for a relaxing family holiday, it got a little much at times. Overall a strong four stars - we liked it.

The facilities are awesome! The resort after the renovation felt modern, but sometimes you can still find traces from the old hotel. The downsides are the food and the wind, we did not try the lemon fish restaurant but everything besides the Italian one just felt cheap and low quality, everything in the kanna restaurant basically has no salt or spices whatsoever, the burger in beach bar is wet and the fries tasted like frozen ones. The buffet has a very underwhelming selection of warm, especially Spanish or local food and seem to be mainly consisting of Asian food which (we are from asia) is also not very good. The steak in the buffet is also very low quality and overcooked. It’s also worth mentioning that all menus across many melia paradisus resorts are very similar. Otherwise, service is really good, rooms are nice and modern, and we especially loved the big pool where they also host various activities. We booked the Premium Room Ocean Front and got upgraded because of Meliarewards Gold status to Premium Room Ocean Front Horizon, the view was just amazing. Thanks to Melia‘s „Destinstion Inclusive“ Concept, a visit to a museum of your choice is included, we went with the goat cheese museum+tasting, a very interesting experience. Conclusion: It’s a nice resort but the food isn’t worth it since it’s a all inclusive resort. I wouldn’t recommend booking it, but if you already done, just eat elsewhere.

Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura | May 2026 | 8 Nights | Platinum Member I visited just before peak season — late May, with my mother. The hotel was calm, unhurried, almost quiet. Whether that holds in high season I can’t say for certain, but given how spacious the property is, I’d expect so. The setting is the first thing that gets you. No road noise, no neighbouring resorts, nothing — just the Paradisus, the adjacent Zel by Meliá, and beyond that ocean, beach and a lagoon that changes with the light. If you’re looking for stillness, this is it. If you need things to do outside the hotel, rent a car — not a criticism, just the reality of where it sits. Standard or Reserve — that’s the real question The hotel operates on two levels, and it’s worth understanding that before you book. As a standard guest you get a very good five-star property: spacious rooms, quality throughout, a beautiful pool area, buffet breakfast. Solid, no complaints. With Reserve the character of the stay changes noticeably. Your own pool, your own sun beds, your own bar — quieter, more private, a different atmosphere altogether. Breakfast moves from buffet to à la carte, with table service, sea views, and a menu that includes caviar, oysters and champagne. No surcharge, no upgrade needed — simply included. Once you’ve had breakfast there, going back to a buffet feels like a different hotel. As a Platinum guest Upgrade handled without issue, late checkout to 14:00 without any discussion. One complimentary dinner per stay at Mahos — the in-house Michelin-starred restaurant, a proper evening out, not a token gesture. Small surprises in the room spread across the 8 nights, staff consistently attentive without being intrusive. A request for a top-floor balcony room was fulfilled a day later — I’d asked specifically to photograph from above. From up there you see everything at once: the pool, the palms, the lagoon, the desert behind it, the ocean. One of the strongest shots I took on this trip. What’s worth knowing Airport transfers are for Circle members only — if your status sits below that, you arrange your own arrival. Good to know in advance, nothing more. If you hang the do-not-disturb sign in the morning, the room won’t be serviced that day — water and minibar were reliably restocked in the evening regardless. No issue, just useful to know. For families with children from age 5, there’s the Kidsdom — a supervised kids’ area where parents don’t need to stay. The hotel doesn’t feel like a family resort though: it stays quiet, never crowded, never loud. Verdict I’ll be back. For couples who want to genuinely switch off, it’s one of the better addresses I know. Families are well catered for, photographers will find plenty — the combination of architecture, lagoon and light is rare. Before booking, ask yourself honestly: is standard enough, or is Reserve actually what you have in mind?

Following our trip to Paradisus in Fuertuventura, (May 2026) and signing up to The Circle by Meliá, which is a bespoke holiday experience giving you a number of hotels around the globe to stay in, yes it costs to become a member but overall a cost saving per year by around about £1500 I feel we will save for the year on 2 x 1 week holidays, We do enjoy Paradisus hotels, the quality and look of each place unique to the area they are within, having stayed at a number of them over the years we can now look to see more of these hotels knowing they will be either 4/5 star, We signed up to The Circle by Melia and our contact is Natasha Cavalcanti, the spiel at the time was that she would be available to help us at any time, to date she was not wrong, her help in our first booking has been invaluable and guiding us through this which shows competence empathy ( after listening to me question query and drone on to be fair ) and understanding to what I was asking and getting the answers needed in a timely manner and knowing she was doing so happily .
