Dean’s Home Budapest

The hotel was perfectly located, and overall, we had a great time. There was a small issue with my gluten-free diet at breakfast, but Soma was really helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly after that. Even when we got fined on the tram on our first day, he explained everything. After that, we had no issues at all with public transport. Nothing too fancy, but a very decent stay.

Dean’s House Hotel is an average hotel in Budapest. Cons: Buy your own toilet paper, it’s so, so cheap that it’s like sandpaper. Beds are small single beds. Really difficult for someone who is 6ft tall. The mattress has a slope in it, which meant it was flat and then had a dip it in. Really struggled to sleep. Hairdryer didn’t work, which was annoying, as I couldn’t dry my hair. Toilet is really small; it’s wedged between the sink and the wall, if you are larger, you might struggle, as not a lot of room. The door to the bathroom is a sliding door, however there is a massive gap from the door and the wall, so it doesn’t close properly. The showers aren’t great. Wasn’t aware it was also student accommodation. Only one tiny pillow. Pros: It’s clean and cheap. It’s central to a lot of things Spar is next to the hotel and a small 24hr shop. Staff are really friendly. Check in and out was easy and a place to store our luggage. Air con, which works Safe to store valuables. Microwave and cooker. Two plates and cups. Altogether not the worst hotel, it’s very basic and looks like student accommodation in the rooms. Would definitely recommend for a short stay that you are looking for basic accommodation.

Excellent hotel. Nice staff. Clean and nice room. Great location. You have a supermarket, restaurants, and the metro very close. I love Budapest and I love this hotel. Definitely will be going back.

I had an amazing time at this hotel. Soma was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax. This was my last stop on my European tour, and it was the perfect way to end the trip. Highly recommend!
