AI pobyt + lokalita, klidná, nejbližší hotel je na druhé straně zátoky + výborná kuchyně + zaměstnanci hotelu milí a ochotní + zdarma kajaky + u hotelu je autobusová zastávka - využili jsme na místní market - wifi jen u bazénu a v lobby (není takový problém) - za lepším šnorchlováním musíte lodí - poplatek cca 20e - pláž 5 - 10 minut chůze, ale poté je jen pro vás :-) ráno u hotelu čeká místní taxi, za cca 3000rp vás proveze po téměř celém ostrově - doporučuji absolvovali jsme celodenní výlet na katamaranu pořádaný cestovkou - příště bychom klidně vynechali

The resort combines stunning natural beauty with warm, genuine Mauritian hospitality – the perfect destination for relaxation and adventure. ⸻ 🌴 Peaceful Location Situated on the quiet east coast in Poste Lafayette, the resort overlooks a crystal-clear lagoon protected by the coral reef. It’s peaceful, private, and ideal for anyone wanting to escape busy tourist areas. Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean every morning was pure magic. ⸻ 🛏 Rooms Our room was spacious, very clean, and well maintained. The décor matched the tropical surroundings, and the balcony view of the lagoon was breathtaking. The bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning worked brilliantly, making our stay very comfortable. ⸻ 🍽 Dining – A Small Issue, Quickly Resolved At the beginning of our stay, we had a small issue with the food options not being as expected. However, once we raised it with the team, they handled it exceptionally well. The chefs spoke to us directly, asked about our preferences, and from that moment onward, the dining experience was out of this world. The buffet became a highlight of our stay – fresh seafood, aromatic Mauritian curries, live cooking stations, and beautifully presented desserts. Their attention to feedback was impressive and turned things around beyond our expectations. ⸻ 🏊 Facilities & Activities Lots to enjoy without leaving the resort: • Beautiful outdoor pool with plenty of loungers • Free kayaks and pedal boats • Snorkelling and glass-bottom boat rides to the reef • Peaceful spa offering relaxing treatments • Evening entertainment on selected nights We also booked a trip to Île aux Cerfs and a catamaran cruise through reception – both highly recommended! ⸻ 💛 Service – Staff That Truly Care The team at Jalsa Beach are what make this resort so special. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and genuine warmth. They really listened and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. Beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, excellent facilities, and a team that truly cares about making your stay amazing. We want to start with saying a huge thank you to the staff and management at the Jalsa Beach hotel we had another amazing holiday with you. Your staff go above and beyond, they remember your favourite drinks, your room number and also any special dietary requirements, and are always greet you with a hello and warm smile. Special thanks to Dannesh, Vanesha, manesha, Roshan and the rest of the housekeeping team. At the risk of rambling on I would like to address some of the not so great reviews I have read! This was our 4th stay at the Jalsa Beach and we would not wish to stay anywhere else in Mauritius. It is a smaller hotel which we prefer because you are known by your name not just another guest, the staff are exceptional and no request is too big. The management are constantly doing things to upgrade the rooms and outside areas, there were mostly all new sun loungers since our last visit and the area is beautifully kept, well done to the guest who posted a photo of the adjacent property that looked very unkempt and has tried to pass it off as the hotel, this photo could only be taken whilst standing on something to access a window about 7 feet high. These are the lengths some people will go to to try and get free room upgrades or other compensation, we witnessed appalling behaviour by some guests bad mouthing the hotel to try and achieve this. Shame on you. Lastly to address the issue of stray dogs, we have never had an issue with them, yes they are around mostly they are too timid to come too close and sometimes there is noise from them barking at the adjacent property but never to the degree that it has bothered us. The Mauritian authorities are trying to address the issue by neutering strays but this is a slow process. Car hire is a good idea to make the most of the island as the hotel is a little remote if you want other restaurants or a supermarket, they drive on the same side as the UK and it is reasonably priced, we use Ebrihim tours, they will drop of and pick up a car from the hotel. Alternatively haggle with the taxi drivers there's always a deal to done. Thank you again to you all, especially for our special dinner on the beach, we know how much time and effort this took. We look forward to seeing our Jalsa Beach family again next year.

Resort was excellent but only if you are French. Three stand outs were Vanisha, Manuska and Kushi. These three should be promoted. They saw the people and not the nationality.

This was our first time to Jalsa Beach but our second time to Mauritius and we had a fantastic time. I had read the reviews, both good and bad, before we booked and were unsure what to expect but our stay exceeded our expectations. It's a small hotel but this provided the intimacy to the place. It wasn't too long before you get know everyone and formed friendships and companionships. The hotel is remotely positioned, but we knew this before we booked, however there is a bus stop outside the main gates which will take you to the markets in Flaq and Goodlands. Check with the staff for market days. The buses have their own timetable. If you are adventurous book a trip or a car, they drive on the left. I don't normally mention the staff but on this occasion I make the exception as they were an integral part of our holiday. On arrival we went to the restaurant and as we entered were greeted by my name and room number. Within a short space of time all the staff knew us, greeting us with big, wide smiles and making sure we had the best time ever. In particulate Kushi, Shrishna, Manisha, Fourdoor, Katsia, our lovely cleaning lady, the animation team who work hard and not forgetting Vanessa, whom I am sure kept a watchful eye on our stay to make sure it was as wonderful as it could be and whom I am sure was responsible for putting us in a great seaview room. Regarding food and drink, it was plentiful, varied, well cooked flavoursome and suited our needs and will say no more as everyone has their own view on what they want or need. The view from the room and/or the beach is fantastic, as you look across the lagoon to the jungle, mountains, reef and more. We were made to feel special, had a relaxing time, enjoyed good company, enjoyed being in Mauritius. No complaints from me.
