First thing to note, the name of this hotel contains the word "Hill" and I would like to point out the inaccurate information this provides. It's more of a mountain, especially after you've eaten your body weight in chocolate cake that Bruce Bogtrotter would've be proud of at the buffet and have to push a pram up to the top of block 5! We were greeted with a very warm welcome at reception on a late afternoon arrival, and swiftly taken in a golf cart up the "hill" to our room. The receptionist informed us that food was available from the "wet wet" bar by the water park. A place we would find ourselves eating at more as the week progressed and the weather stayed sunnier. We booked a premium double room, the extra space was taken up with a travel cot which was already set up on arrival. The bathroom was large and with what can only be described as the best rainfall shower I've ever had the privilege to use! A request to reception for a baby bath was swiftly actioned. Plenty of storage and room to hide cases away. Not much of a view from the balcony, but we didn't spend much time out there anyway. We spent some time around the main pool / kids pool and a fair bit of time at the newly build infinity pool by the water park, this pool was by far our favourite. They aren't heated but our 6 month old still enjoyed a swim nonetheless. There were never any issues with finding a lounger, even late into the morning. Nice to see a hotel without sunbed wars going on daily! The buffet had a great choice of food at all meal times. Breakfast was a particular hilight. The self service drinks stations also made for a better mealtime experience as you're not having to wait for service constantly. Never had an issue trying to find a highchair and they were always cleaned down after use. We ate at 2 of the a la carte restaurants, both of which were of high quality. We're not big drinkers, but the cocktails we did have were decent. The bar staff were always friendly, as was everybody around the hotel. The entertainment team (forced fun team) did the odd bit around the main pool, but their presence was never intrusive. The Mini disco was a bit of fun, even through our baby fell asleep on both occasions! Avoid the bubble disco, it's just a fever dream with a fairy making bubbles, I was waiting for a rave of some kind, but it never came. We went to watch the Robbie Williams show, thinking it was maybe a Greek impersonator, but it was just the entertainment team dancing and lip syncing to his songs. The hotel can book you a taxi to Hersonissos for €10, which we did as their beach excursion took you to a beach bar in Stalis. We didn't want to get stuck at a bar for 5 hours and not have means of escape if it was rubbish. We would likely come back to this hotel again, we would however like to see maybe a quiet bar of an evening, somewhere that families can just relax without loud entertainment going on in the same vicinity.
Me and my partner stayed here in May and it was absolutely stunning. The whole hotel was super clean and very well decorated. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was good in the main buffet, the restaurants food was outstanding. We really enjoyed our dinners in the Asian, Mexican and Greek restaurants and it made the hotel really stand out compared to others we had been to. The entertainment was good in the evenings and the noise level was fine, didn't ever affect our sleep. The bus shuttle was good as it took you down to the beach where you get taken to a nice spot with a great restaurant/bar just off the beach. The rooms were nice with lots of storage and we had a gorgeous view of the sea. The facilities were great, the gym, football pitch, tennis court were all great fun. The spa was amazing, we had messages from Efi and Maria I believe and they did a great job at making us feel comfortable and relaxed as well as providing a fantastic massage. Overall a beautiful hotel and great staff, really good value for money. We will definitely be back!
My review for a visit to Drop Spa whilst at this hotel, the spa itself is beautiful, stunning decor, clean & relaxing with welcoming staff. My back massage was with Minas, I do have a monthly massage at home so can honestly say the massage was fantastic, very professional & it really helped my sore neck & shoulders. Highly recommend Minas. The wet area in the spa also looks so good, I’m hoping to use before we leave. The area upstairs is a gym which I have used on 2 occasions so far, great machines & equipment, clean & professional.
Great hotel, very clean, good service. Great food, especially enjoyed the à la carte Greek restaurant. Buffet food was always good as well just prefer à la Carte experience. Spa was so good, had one of the best messages I have ever had.
Just finished our 7 night stay at the hotel. We have had an amazing time. Buffet food throughout the day was a great standard, plenty of choice and we never had a problem finding a table. We like the added ‘adult zone’ in the restaurant, especially as school holidays began half way though our stay and there was an increase in families. We also had a great experience with the Al a Carte meals, the Asian being our favourite. Made a lovely change away from the buffet. We used the adult only pool most of our stay. We always found a sun lounger. The best part of this pool was the bar (Selene) and specifically the bar man Michales (I think that’s spelt correctly) who worked there all but one of our days. He was a credit to the hotel, always service with a smile and really went above and beyond. We missed him when he had his day off. He was a really hard working, likeable guy. Hotel facilities great, very clean and staff were always really helpful. Added bonus was the free late check out they allowed us, which made our late transfer painless. Would recommend it to anyone.
