SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort Hotel

Fantastic holiday. Luxury from start to finish . The all inclusive food and service is outstanding . The facilities for children of all ages are wonderful and made a huge difference to everyone having an amazing time . We will definitely be back soon .

Overall, excellent value for money. The hotel staff are very friendly and mostly attentive although breakfast can be a bit slow. The rooms are adequate, bed comfy but we have stayed in better. But who spends much time in their rooms! Marxa, the brasserie style restaurant is very good, but we were hugely disappointed by Cortijo. Food and service both poor. For the golfer, The Alto Club is attached to the hotel. Its an interesting course and good value at EUR105 as a guest of the hotel. Again there are better courses in SotoGrande if you so wish. We overlapped half term by a few days. The hotel has an adults only pool, which remained a quiet haven. But we had to eat late at Marxa as it was humming with children earlier. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay, and I would highly recommend the hotel, based on value for money. We booked as a BA holiday package. Special mention to Mercedes at So Ciety. she was so friendly and the place was noticeably less efficient on her day off. And Mohamad in reception. He has just the right amount of welcoming chat.

2nd visit to the hotel to golf in the region. It's perfect. Rooms are spacious and bathroom with walk in shower is spot on. All of the staff are very friendly. Breakfast is plated and served. Great selection and all was lovely. It's very tranquil and has a fantastic relaxed vibe. Love it and will definitely be back.

Opknion exclusiva sobre Marxa restauration : Disappointing experience overall. We asked to be seated in a quieter area but were told that section was closed, yet several guests arriving after us were seated there. Service also felt understaffed, and the portions were surprisingly small for the price. Expectations are naturally higher at a 5-star venue. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet them. ★★☆☆☆
