Very nice hotel, friendly service, tennis, pool, restaurant, all the amenities at your disposal. Good value for your money-the place was quiet during the off season.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic design and very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Located between the two lakes, makes it easy and convenient to go for a stroll or a swim. I enjoyed my stay a lot. The room was very spacious, the bed wonderful and the view out of the balcony overlooking the mountains just gorgeous :) Looking forward to coming again

Nice rooms of moderate size with nice beds and great views, with nice balconies. The family dining space is generous with good food and service; the food this year was a bit more sophisticated than in years past although the salad bar was not as extensive as before. The breakfast buffet is nice with an assortment of hot and cold items but perhaps not as extensive as previously. While this is a family-friendly hotel, there has been a push over the past number of years to make it more upscale, but it probably still appeals to families with children more than those seeking an exquisite spa experience. The downside is that it has become more expensive, although it is still cheaper than other hotels and has more authentic charm. The panoramic restaurant on the top floor, which previously had a more informal nature with a bingo night has now become more exclusive and focused on dining and drinks; they specialize in pizza, which was quite tasty. The well-maintained spa area has remained similar with a nice pool and circulating river, the sauna and steam room as well as the cold bath are nice. Massages and a clothing-optional area are available but can’t comment on either of those. There is a fair amount of parking if bringing a car - we have always taken the train, and previous manager had offered to drive us to the train station on several occasions. Current management were competent and helpful. Check-in was quick and check-out was easy to do online. We have always enjoyed our stays at the hotel and have been going with our children for their winter break, they have learned to ski in Arosa and the town has been a special place for them. Over the last 14 or so years we have tried two other ski areas and there were two years during the pandemic when we could not come, but Hotel Altein and Arosa have remained our favorite places.
