Our stay at Lux Marijani Zanzibar was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed by how well this resort is operated. The management team were always visible, approachable, and genuinely on hand to support guests something that is actually quite rare to see. It really made such a difference to the overall atmosphere and experience. A huge thank you to all of the wonderful customer-facing team members who made our stay so memorable: Lucy, Olivia, Barraca, Matilda, Hussein, naefeti, Clementine, Charles, Haji, Martin, Doctor, Mriso and Pendu. (And everyone we’ve missed!)Every single one of them was so warm, bubbly, and happy to stop for a chat whilst we enjoyed the incredible variety of delicious food and drinks available day and night. We stayed on half board and would absolutely recommend it. Special thanks also go to Musa, Abu, and Jennifer for keeping us entertained with daily activities, whether it was trips to see the starfish or joining in with the beach games. Their energy and friendliness really added to the experience. Sunrise yoga with Abu was our favourite. Another huge thank you to the management team — chef desi always accomadating our lunch/dinner request all the chefs are brilliant. Martin and Haji F&B Assistant managers so attentive and making sure we got our nightly masala tea which was perfect! guest relations manager houssam , and resort manager Rooma — who consistently checked in on us, asked for feedback, and genuinely cared about ensuring we were happy and comfortable throughout the stay. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. We also have to mention Godlisten, the barista at the Lux Café. Not a single day went by where we didn’t order one of his beautiful flat whites. He is such a kind, warm person and truly cares about every customer he serves. Thank you as well to rahema at reception, who greeted us from day one and was always ready to assist with a smile. We also really appreciated the management team helping us arrange a small external request during our stay , Sumit the GM personally sorted this one, we were beyond grateful— again, nothing was ever an issue. After staying for two weeks, we genuinely felt like part of the Lux family. We are so happy we chose Lux Marijani Zanzibar —the whole concept, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. Having stayed at another lux in Mauritius it was the best decision. We can’t wait to try yet another Lux resort in the future, and we are already talking about returning to Zanzibar when we plan our Serengeti safari trip. From Abdul with fitness classes (and energy) to Suzan and Mildred for advice, warmth and great care during meals, to Eliza and Laithe for the BEST massage! And Mousa and David for great company the Lux team are the opitme of elegance, professionalism and warmth, the whole team made us feel so welcome and we will definitely be back.
