Base Camp Lodge Les 2 Alpes

The accommodation is fine. However, they take 300euro deposit on arrival and and supposed to have it refunded when you check out. Having called them a week later and numerous emails over the last 10 MONTHS I am yet to receive the refund or even get a response from them. Avoid!!

Stayed here for 1 week in early March, and it was fab. Travelled on my own, to ski and snowboard, and stayed in the dorm room. The room was great, good kitchenette, 3 x large showers, and the bunks were a decent size with power outlets, lamps, and blackout blinds. Easy access to the ski locker room on a morning / afternoon, and the bar was nice and welcoming. All staff were friendly and helpful from what I experienced - I paid €4 for 3 towels for the week, which was useful. Great location, just down the road from plenty of bars and restaurants, next door to a handful of ski rental shops, and a 5 minute walk to the Diable ski lift / ski pass centre. It would be a longer walk to the main cable car, but the Diable lift easily links in with the main ski area, so it’s ideal. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling for snow sports, or, for any reason really! I’m sure it would be lovely in the summer too. Thanks!

Me and my fiancée along with another couple stayed here at Hotel Base Camp Lodge Les Deux Alpes from 24/12/22 - 01/01/23 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We stayed in a Mountain View room and were HALF BOARD so this meant we had breakfast and evening meal. We were a 15minute walk from the main Jandri lift but literally only a 2minute walk from the Diablo lift, the Diablo lift is 100% the best lift to use. No traffic of people , literally every morning 9am we would get straight on the lift at Diablo without hesitation and be ski-ing by 9:20am! The Diablo lift links the whole mountain together so my advice would be to use this lift on the doorstep and link the whole mountain together using the other lifts 😊 HOTEL - Clean , fresh and vibrant. Everything you need this hotel can offer. Easy access to the boot room via lift, stairs or a side door which gives you access from directly outside the hotel. There’s a nice bar area and games room where you can relax and enjoy downtime in between hitting the mountains. The reception area is always staffed and all your questions will be answered. You top up your lift passes from inside the hotel via a computer which is in reception there for you to use. BOOT ROOM - Small but very tidy and clean. Lockers were efficient and worked off your keycard automatically which was great. BEDROOMS - Spacious room with a lovely balcony overlooking the mountains. There was a lot of storage which was perfect as we were staying for 8 days and had lots of clothes and equipment. FOOD / HALF BOARD - Breakfast - continental breakfast was on offer including croissants/ fruit / yogurts / breads / coffees and juices Hot breakfast - bacon / eggs < on offer every morning EVENING MEAL - This meal was tasty but my only complaint is that the SET MENU for HalfBoard guests was very limited. You had 4 starters , 4 mains and 4 desserts to pick from each evening and for people staying here a week or even longer the menu because boring especially if you did NOT like cheese… A big thankyou to the manager of the hotel who let us exchange our starter and dessert for 1 meal which was on the Normal menu.. for this meal I had the Pork Ribs and they were outstanding, my friend has the steak and that was equally as tasty. The food is very good , compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳 SERVICE - During our stay we noticed that the restaurant on an evening was very busy and there wasn’t enough members of staff to cope with the amount of tables. Some evenings we would just order a main meal then leave as the service was slow.. this is there busiest time of the year but waiting 2hours for a main meal after ski-ing allday was enough for us. Maybe an extra pair of hands on the service side of things would be beneficial especially during these busy times… We didn’t experience any delays during Christmas Eve meal or Christmas Day meal as the hotel was quieter , these meals were also delicious and we all really enjoyed them. Would I stay here again? YES I would stay again but maybe I would opt for the bed and breakfast option. Thanks for a lovely stay Fantastic hotel. Keep up the good work

I stayed in a private room in summer. The building was nice, new, clean. The staff were very accommodating. (I asked them to put my first-aid ice pack in and out of their fridge many times per day, and they were always happy to help.) They spoke English. There's a garage to store rental bikes. I had a balcony with a nice view. The location is convenient, near restaurants and the Dante chairlift.

Hôtel bien placé dans la station. Chambre propre, simple et efficace. Rideau occultant et lieu très calme. Petit déjeuner très bon et très complet. Je recommande !
