There were good and bad things about our stay. Location was good. Staff were friendly Reception was clean and tidy Boot rooms were clean and tidy Bar and bar area was nice. Breakfast was nice. Rooms were clean. Rooms 306 and 406 smalt of sewage during the whole stay, it was quite sickly to come home to and wake up to. We paid 30 Euros per person on the first night for a Buffet. Unfortunately the food was not up to it and we felt that we had wasted our money. Two out of our family of 5 chose not to eat it. It could be very noisy in the hotel during the night with lots of shouting that often woke us up a number of times at all hours.

Very good service and nice comfy beds. Own charger, own light, own safe and a good ski locket. Breakfast is nice and the bar is always open. Nice events and a nice location. Next to a supermarket en not far from the centre. Nice showers and good view.

We had an enjoyable week’s stay at The People’s Hostel in Les Deux Alpes. The location was a major highlight, with the town center just a short walk away, offering easy access to restaurants, shops, and bars. The hostel is ideally positioned, only a few minute’s walk from two chairlifts, making it convenient for access to the slopes. The room itself was decent, offering the basic comforts we needed after a long day of skiing, and we were pleased with the cleanliness and the overall standard of the facilities. This is more like a hotel than a hostel. The bar staff were excellent and their Cocktails were excellent. However, a couple of areas that could be improved… First being the food. While it was convenient to have meals provided, the offerings were basic and repetitive throughout the week. This lack of variety, coupled with the number of guests dining in a relatively small space, made mealtimes a bit of a battle. It felt quite chaotic during peak hours. One of the most frustrating aspects of our stay was the ski locker heaters not working properly. With no way to dry our boots or gear overnight, we were forced to start each day with damp, cold boots. After a long day of skiing, the last thing anyone wants is to put on wet, uncomfortable footwear in freezing temperatures. This issue which lasted all week really put a damper on our mornings, and it felt like something that should have been fixed, especially given the nature of the activities in the area. It was a simple but significant detail that could have made our experience much more enjoyable. Overall, I would consider staying at The People’s Hostel again due to its great location and affordable pricing. The proximity to the town center and chairlifts made it an ideal spot for skiing, and the room was comfortable enough for a short stay. However, I would definitely skip the half-board food package next time. The meals, though convenient, were too basic and repetitive for my taste, and the dining experience was often a bit chaotic. I’d prefer to explore the local dining options instead, which would offer more variety and a more relaxed atmosphere.
