Hotel Apogia Nice

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Nothing special but good if you need a place to crash and see the beautiful city of Antibes and Juan- les-Pines. The pool area is nice.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. There are light switches in main corridors literally hanging out with bare wires exposed and the general state of the rooms is very tired. The rooms smell of cigarette smoke and damp. The corridor carpets would disgrace the very worst student accommodation you could find! If the swimming pool has been cleaned in 2005 I would be most surprised. My fish pond is as clean. Don't book this hotel through any operator but beware using Easyjet as they subcontract to a Spanish company. You can imagine how easy it is to obtain redress. Despite having paid we went straight back out of the hotel and found a delightful hotel in Valbonne called the Bastide. You have been warned - book the Apologia as it should more aptly be called, at your peril!

just returned from a trip to nice which was only for 3days,when we arrived at the apogia hotel which was about 20 mins from the beach not 5mins as stated on the web,we opened our room door to be greeted to a strong smell of dogs and cigarettes even though we asked for a non smoking room. the room was dirty,dogs hairs on the carpet, pubic hairs on the floor round the toilet.the side board and cupboards were worn and very tried looking with tea and coffee stains on them. didn't have a minibar was told not all rooms have them use the main bar but you have to pay. we left the hotel straight away and went and found another hotel on the main promenade. no way is the apogia a 3 star hotel,more like a 1 star. it ruined the 1st day of our short break as it took 3hrs to find another hotel and cost us £280. we didn,t get any money back from the apogia and are in dispute with bargain holidays at the moment.if you are thinking of going to Nice we strongly recommend it but don't stay in the APOGIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
