Résidence Suite Home Porticcio

Rooms were ok, but they cleaned only every fourth day. When we asked for pool towels, they were out of stock! Even though the hotel was far from full booked. They had a pool bar, but said it didn’t open until 1st of July - it didn’t open that day either! The gym room was a disaster! Three cardio machines, only the bike worked properly. We got yelled at when we came home after 10pm, and used the open door to the hotel bar, instead of the main entrance (which we had to open by a five digit code…)

Quite clean and neat. Modern concrete hotel, large rooms each with a balcony. Each room had a kitchenette - so I think this was designed more as an apparthotel set up. Some noise at night till 1am - nightclub across the field opposite. Very anonymous corridors, few lifts. Good pool. 10 minutes walk to beach, restaurants etc - but not an easy walk, some of the hotel's path lights were out, bushes growing into the path, there was not a continuous pavement, and cars parked in the drive (where it clearly said No Parking). Breakfast good, even at 0630. We did not have evening meals there - too late in the season? Staff friendly

I rarely leave reviews but this hotel was such a disappointment I have to share my one night experience. Check in is at 5pm and the hotel could not accommodate anything prior (which is understandable). However, check out is at 10am. When we asked the front desk for a late check out, knowing we only stayed for one night, they refused. The manager at the front desk was rude and not accommodating at all. The next morning they called us at 10:05am asking us to leave the room. We stayed in multiple hotels in Corsica and this was the only facility demanding 7 hours between check in and checkout. On top of that disagreement, the hotel is really noisy (children playing outside until 1am, loud AC, noisy fridge), the master bed is foldable (?!!) and is creaking every time you move. I slept so bad, I was miserable the next day. Don’t waste your money here, there are plenty of cheaper and nicer hotels in Porticcio.

Great hotel only a 5 min walk from a big sandy beach and dozens of good restaurants, boulangerie and a supermarket. The rooms are spacious and set up for self catering so there's only breakfast provided on site. There's a kitchenette in the rooms and they're a very decent size. The pool is huge by hotel standards and satisfyingly deep for a proper swim. Also a poolside bar. Seemed plenty of sun beds and the hotel staff were really helpful around my poor French. The corridors are wide and spacious unlike alot of hotels I've stayed in, and a good size bar area. Will definitely come back here next time I'm back in Porticcio

Stayed as part of a Newmarket holiday group. The room was ok, but not cleaned whilst I stayed for three days. The bed was comfortable and the power-saving lights were a good idea. The breakfast was ok but a bit limited in selection. The owners dog was on the loose and came rushing towards me snarling and barking, which was quite frightening. I think the dog should have been under control, but it wasn't. Not very nice or welcoming. I had done nothing to provoke it, I was just walking down the corridor to the reception. There is no place to have dinner other than walk over to a restaurant by the beach which looked ok, but it seems there was sewage outlet close by the beach.the restaurant we used was semi open air, with brusque waiters and indifferent food. There was a Carrefour supermarket nearby and a pleasant patisserie and boulangerie also nearby, but not much to do otherwise.
