ibis Paris CDG Airport

Tento hotel jsem využil dvakrát při cestě z Prahy na ostrov St. Martin v roce 2008 a 2009. Vzhledem k tomu, že jsem měl přílet večer a následující den odlet přes oceán, využil jsem hotelový bar, pokoj na nocleh, ranní sprchu a snídani, byl jsem velmi spokojen. Cena byla přijatelná, snídaně dobrá a hotel velmi čistý, Doporučuji.

Hotel ma dobrou lokaci primo u RER do centra a 5 min. k letistnimu shuttle. Snidane prumer, ale vyhodou je servirovani od 4 hodin rano. Pokoje jsou extremne male a tak malou koupelnu jsem nevidel ani na lodi natoz ve 4* hotelu s cenami pres 100 eur. Snazte se minimalizovat dobu sveho pobytu zde.

This is the second Ibis I stayed in (on this trip, or ever) and I am not impressed. It is substandard. The hotel has poorly designed rooms. There’s no desk lamp or overhead light, so I typed these notes in a dark room at a “desk” where a shelf over the narrow surface prevented me from opening my laptop all the way. I had to sit in an uncomfortable metal chair with criss-crosses that dug into my behind in my lightweight hiking pants. The room is actually pretty large for a French hotel room. The bed is comfortable; there are three small pillows. The bathroom is quite bright. The only amenity is the bare minimum of a dispenser of an all-in-one shampoo/shower gel at the sink and one in the shower. There are two thin bath towels and one bath mat. On the plus side, there is a small closet, a few small shelves and a luggage rack. The window opens, which is great, but it opens so wide that it poses a health & safety hazard. There is no mechanism to keep it from opening all the way into the room and over the bed, which felt dangerous, so we mostly kept it closed. There was a very dusty fire extinguished in the room. Breakfast was standard and was good.

We only had our room from 8.30pm to 5.45 am. We walked in from the airport shuttle and there was hundreds of cigarettes butts on the floor and rubbish piled up it was off putting and discusting. We got to the room it was not inviting I didn't even sleep in side the covers. AIR-CONDITIONING wasn't working properly at all. They sent some one with a screw driver, he had no idea took off the filter and it had one inch thick with dust. I didn't work anyway. The staff at the front desk were ok. No fridge in the room. I was very discussed and very disappointed. I will never be back again. From what you charge people big dollars. I wish I could get my money back.

I chose the Ibis bc it was close to CDG and I needed to get there very early for my early flight. The new EES was causing security delays. Around 10 pm I fell asleep on the passable bed in the small room. At midnight, the door which was at the foot of the bed, was flung open, light rushed in and a large man appeared. There had been no knock on the door or phone call. He stared solidly at me when a voice behind the door shouted in French. I shouted back and asked him what they wanted. Answering in English, he asked “Do you need help?” “No!” I burst. He shouted in French again. “What do you want?” I demanded. Then, without a word, the man at the door left, closing the door behind him. I called the front desk for an explanation. The person said that the men were called to room 350 for a guest having a medical difficulty. My room was 358. I felt unsettled, the intrusion disrupted sleep for the night. I left at 5 am but stopped at the front desk on the way. The staff were aware of the medical call but had no knowledge of my room being entered without permission. The incident unsettling but I was over it by the time I reached the airport. But, if I imagine it had been my wife or even daughter who was alone in the room when it was invaded, the consequences would have deeply disturbing.
