Armon Greenblu Hotel & Wellness

The experience had its ups and downs....probably more downs than ups. I've been visiting Folgarida for over a decade now, (summers but mostly during the ski season). In the past we were host by a family-run hotel nearby that has recently changed property. We expected a warm welcome, like the one normally offered by the people from Trentino, but this is more of a business/seaside hotel than a “mountain hotel.” Negative points: common areas very very cold - very poor food similar to that served in a cafeteria most of the time served cold- Trentino food not received. The typical Trentino dessert strudel was probably not so genuine. Spa area very confused, you can get in once a stay only otherwise you need to pay a surcharge of EUR 35. each time. Underground parking EUR 20.- per night, similar to London tariff than a place in the mountain. Soundproofing rooms virtually non-existent, you can hear everything that happens outside also the flash of your neighbour. Wood commonly found in Trentino, in this case you will find a prefinished cheap wood. Positive aspects: the location very closed to Folgarida ski station, friendly and helpful staff, even if they appear to be inexperienced and not from Trentino for sure...they did not even know on those days the Ski World Cup was held (event of the year in Trentino). Common area and games well thought out, even if very very cold! I definitely wouldn't go back

Cold room - complained but nothing done. Had to sleep in our clothes to keep warm. Constantly used hair dryer to warm up the room. I have worked in the food industry for 36 years & if the quality of food served was in this country , it would be closed down. I complained many times to the restaurant manager and reception about the cold eggs in the “warmer” , that NEVER worked !!! Bacon & sausages were lukewarm. I was offered freshly cooked eggs every day , but this would not have solved the problem ? I can’t say any food was hot as always served on cold plates (one of my pet hates). A coffee machine is desperately needed , as even this was lukewarm warm !

We had a fantastic overnight stay at this hotel! The food was delicious, the rooms were spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a great bar that seemed popular with couples. There’s also a billiard table and a relaxing lounge area, which made it extra comfortable for us to unwind. We didn’t get a chance to dine at the bar this time, but it looked great. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. A perfect hotel experience from start to finish!

I spent a week in this hotel with an incentive trip. Perfect location, very good standard and, above of all, very helpful staff, management with Bianca, restaurant with Matteo, animation team with Giovanni and Michaela, and reception desk with meravigliosa Angela. I recomend it for everyone.

The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard and seemed to be value for money, but it’s not the best for food if that is a big part of your holiday. The bedroom was comfy spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was huge with a great shower. Also spacious compared with many other Italian hotels we’ve visited. The bed was a little on the hard side for our taste but the staff supplied us with an extra duvet when asked to make us more comfortable. The bedroom doors and walls do seem super thin, so there is corridor noise as other reviews have pointed out. However, from 11pm / midnight ish it is silent. We slept well all week, so although weird, isn’t a dealbreaker. We also had a fridge which was useful for keeping drinks cold. Lovely large dining room with plentiful food at both breakfast and dinner. The staff always remembered our coffee order in the morning and it often came out before we asked, which was a nice touch. The food was a bit hit and miss if we are being honest, but possibly acceptable for the money we paid. Staff were friendly and helped with our dietary requirements where possible. But not that great for vegetarians. So, we would say it always paid to eat a hearty lunch on the mountain. Comfy bar area, perfect for evening drinks. Bar staff attentive. The pool, spa and gym we never used so cannot pass comment. Another mention about the staff, all very friendly and accommodating to us. They helped us book taxis when we went to Madonna for the night and sorted our friends out with extra requests to make their stay more comfortable. Ski room = large. Certainly more spacious than many we have seen. (However, our top tip would be to use the new depot at the top of the lift for ease. Wonderful heated lockers fit up to 4 people’s gear. €30 each for the week but saved a lot of faff. They even had a hairdryer and ghds available at the end of day to sort out helmet hair). Whilst not directly about the hotel, we should also mention there is not a lot to do in terms of apres or restaurants / bars in this part of Folgarida. It’s essentially a car park with a lovely patisserie/bar for your evening drinks.
