Falkensteiner Hotel Kronplatz

Arrived for a ski vacation with multiple family members and four kids ranging from 8-14. this property claims to be family friendly. IT IS NOT. my children were accosted by an angry man who told them they were making to much noise and jumping in the family swim area. and then proceeded to call them stupid americans. Manager handled it well, but put a sour taste in my mouth. (to note there’s a rooftop pool that is adult only) This is a predominantly german visited hotel. we didn’t encounter any americans but us. which is fine. but perhaps if you’re looking for a more tourist friendly property this isn’t the place for you. Also to note, sauna areas are naked only. my family members tried to use it and got yelled at by a staff member for not being naked. i’ve traveled extensively in Europe and didn’t find this experience to be 5* property was well kept and nicely decorated. the vibe was very stuffy. .strong smell of cow manure the entire time as it’s in a valley surrounded by fields. no real town to explore. food was very good and most staff were friendly. Kronplatz is not an area for people who like to cruise greens. they don’t exist here. Alta Badia would be the place to go!! All in all i would think twice before returning to a kronplatz property. My favorite experience here was the dining staff. friendly, warm and inviting! made us all feel welcomed

Very supportive and kind staff, mainly at the restaurant, we also enjoyed a lot of fun with them. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. Really nearby to the slopes and cabin lifts. Plenty of timber used in the interiors make the atmosphere really cozy :) Perfect for families with children. Very quiet and clean hotel.

I was in Falkensteiner Kronplatz two times. Both times i had stunning, amazing and wonderful stay. Both pools have been very hot during a cold and strong winter even their positions are in front of the hotel. All tables, chairs and sofas in the hotel lobby, bar and restaurant are new, clean and beautiful. Big congratulations and praises for staff in hotel Daniela, Giualia and Nadin for being very very professional, kind and polite. Hotel management- leadership has to be very proud and happy for having them as their staff members. Big Thank you for everything, i am gonna definitely drive one more time for 10 hours from Croatia just to see you all again because immediately when you step in the hotel lobby-you feel unique and special. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t praise it enough. The service was amazing from start to finish, and every single employee was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. A special thank you to Daniela and Marianna, who truly made our stay exceptional with their friendliness and care. Kudos also to Juglia, our sommelier. The food was beyond outstanding. Homemade pasta and bread were delicious, the daily dinner menu was varied and beautifully prepared, and the service in the restaurant was just perfect. The amenities were excellent, and everything was perfectly maintained. The spa is especially enjoyable, making this hotel ideal for adults looking to relax and unwind. That said, children and pets are also very welcome, with plenty of activities and space for them to enjoy as well, we have traveled with both. We surely will be back!
