2nd time staying here. Peter opens up the hotel out of season for our school senior trip and always takes care of us. What a beautiful setting at the footsteps of the Alps. Great place to wake up and enjoy the surroundings. Looked forward to the breakfast and evening meals that the staff cooked up for us. Close to hiking trails and the Biathlon stadium. One of my favorite places to stay while touring Europe. The setting alone is priceless. Don't go looking for the newest and greatest but a peaceful retreat in a wonderful location.

It's not exactly a state-of-the-art hotel, but I found almost everything for me and my family. Interesting for the altimetry (1.550 m above the sea), and the fresh you can breathe there. A top venue for biathlon and nordic ski lovers.

There are issues here. My bed was too hard (but you may love a firm mattress. The pillows can hardly be called pillows. They're too flat. The breakfast buffet is simple. The evening meal was generally good, but the Sunday evening meal, while definitely a meat-eater's dream, was not to my taste at all. But who cares? The service was always delivered with such endearing friendliness. I got better pillows, and I was offered something different on that Sunday evening without having to ask for it. The sweet people who run this hotel are attentive and accommodating. I'll be back. A tip: If you don't like instant coffee (sadly instant coffee is par for the course in many Italian hotels), ask for an espresso, cappuccino or double espresso from the bar. It's what most Italians do.
