The food is very economical, mainly pizza and pasta. Fully oriented towards Italians, few people speak English. The rooms and restaurant equipment are outdated. I was very surprised that there was no wine in the AI ​​concept (yes, in Italy).

The most outrageous vacation I've ever had was in Calabria. The food was awful, there was no organization, no enjoyment, and the services were lacking. I traveled across the ocean from the US to visit my family and chose to stay there, which turned out to be the worst choice I've ever made. I even lost weight while in Italy. The management was abysmal, and their responses to reviews are completely unacceptable.

I spent 6 nights here with my wife and two young children. This resort caters to Italians and we were the only non-italian family there. Most actually said we were the only Americans they every saw staying here. This place is not designed for international guests. Very little English is spoken throughout the resort. We are fluent in English, Spanish and German but the majority of the staff only speaks Italian. We had to communicate through Google Translate. Front Desk- terrible check in. There was no introduction to the hotel, no tour of the premise, no explanation of what was included with our stay and what they offer. The girl (Simone?) made no attempt to speak anything other than Italian. I used google translate to communicate with her and she only responded with Si or No. I asked her what was in the town or area to see and she said nothing. It took several days for us to discover all this resort had to offer and the beautiful town of Squillace. They should put their best people at the front desk. Others there were slightly better but still offered the bare minimum to assist us. Food- Not great. The dining is buffet style. Dinner is only open from 7-930. Picture 500 people all trying to eat from a buffet at a time with only 90 minutes before the food is put away. Some of the food was good, most was mediocre. Overall, dining was always a poor and stressful experience. The local restaurants in Squillace and Squillace Lido are excellent and much cheaper than eating at the hotel. The Room- Our room was great. We were in the 600 block and very happy. It was clean and modern. AC could have been better. There is no fan or AC in the children's room and it was very hot for them. The beach- Beautiful but confusing. You need to pay for a chair and umbrella first at the front desk and then give your ticket to the life guard. This was not told to us until we were at the beach. Again- no introduction at check in to let us know this. The resort is huge and its a 12 minute walk back to the front desk to pay. The website says you can pay to RESERVE a beach chair which is wrong, you pay to USE a beach chair! Perhaps a translation error. The grounds- lush, beautiful, spread out and private. The pools could use some cleaning and basic maintenance. Not enough pool chairs at the pool for all guests to use at the main pool. There were days we had to leave our stuff in a random spot on the floor while using the pool. The children's club- These girls made our stay! Our two young girls spent two days in the hero camp and loved it! The girls texted us throughout the day updates on our kids per our request. They went above and beyond. Fantastic experience! Wifi- Only in the lobby. There is no wifi anywhere else in the resort or the rooms. Most things at the hotel are an extra charge and again, we did not find out until someone would scold us for doing the wrong thing. Had we been given a proper introduction at check in we would have had a better time here. There is also no ATM on premise which is absurd for a resort so large that charges you cash for everything. And no, you can charge things to your room and pay at the end. You must pay in advance in cash for whatever you want. Overall our stay got better as time went on and we figured out the workings of the resort. Had we received a proper introduction I would have given this more than 3 stars. I would stay here again as we liked our room, a beautiful beach and amazing child care services and entertainment. Eat at local restaurants.

Hotel was nice, I only wish there was WiFi in the room and a phone to call reception. The DJ at night was great. The food was good. The customer service was great. The parking was a bit confusing. This location is close to the beach and many other cities.
