The worst and most infuriating experience I’ve ever had in all my years of touring—bar none. After a brutal 12-hour drive, I arrived at Hotel Imperatori only to have my backpack—with ALL of my musical equipment: laptop, interface, hard drive, headphones—stolen right from the hotel’s reception area. No secure space, no protocol, and absolutely no accountability. I filed a police report the next morning because the station was said to be closed at night, yet the hotel has refused to take any responsibility whatsoever. No compensation, no effort to resolve, just lies in an attempt to cover their asses when their cameras show everything that took place. This wasn’t just a bag—it was my work, my art, my livelihood. I’ve toured across countless cities and countries, and never have I experienced something so devastating and so carelessly handled. I will never return, and I strongly warn any touring artist or traveler: avoid this place at all costs. This is not just about bad service—it’s about complete disregard and a shocking level of indifference and negligence for people’s lives and livelihoods.

Do not book this hotel if you want a decent stay. The only good thing about the hotel are the staff. Very friendly. But the rooms are a bit run down. If you’re coming as a couple you’ll probably have to ask for extra towels and pillows. The beds are rock hard. The air con works but you wouldn’t know. Noise from other rooms can be bad too. The area is very run down. Nothing around apart from a few shops. Getting to the centre of rome isn’t great either. Taxi costs too much and waiting for a bus and using metro takes time. You’re better off paying the extra money for a better hotel.

The staff here were absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately that was the only plus point. Our room was in a state of disrepair. Buttons missing off light switches revealing live wires, bath fittings broken or missing, mould on the walls, paint peeling... I could go on but it's safe to say I won't be returning. Breakfast was cake, croissant or ham. Very poor too. 2/5 from me
