Vallegrande Nature Resort

Strávili jsme několik dní v tomto úžasném středisku a užili jsme si tolik naší dovolené. Cesta k Vallegrande je trochu úzká, ale když dorazíte k bráně, pocitem je být v ráji. Vše je nové a čisté, bazén je fantastický a místnost je pohodlná. Manažer Marco je přátelský a pomohl nám vyřešit některé problémy, které jsme měli s leteckou společností. Veškerý personál je profesionální a usmívá se. Restaurace je elegantní a jídlo je vynikající, proto jsme měli každý večer večeři. Počasí bohužel nebylo tak dobré, hodně pršelo a venku to nebylo možné. Určitě se vrátíme příští rok s našimi syny!

Rooms are not what they are portrayed as .We are two adult couples who booked a 2 bed suite to find the second room has a pop up bed and is fit for only children After much much discussion and bafflement on behalf of the staff we finally got another room at substantial further cost .The rooms are not worth waiting for they are at best sheds with tiny windows ,no views and below average beds and bedding . The Nature bit of the “resort”consists of mosquitoes in the evening and the flies on the breakfast bar .The other “nature”element we assume must be their keenness to reuse old towels and to not upgrade the furniture for we assume “Eco”reasons Half board food is average at best and breakfast is appalling.We skipped the evening meal (having paid already for it )and went on the very very long trip into town for dinner instead . The staff seem to pay almost no attention to the guest .Asking for a coffee at 7.20 in the morning was received by one staff member with disdain and a shrug as if I had insulted him . There is nothing resort ,nothing nature and nothing 5 star about this place Avoid Avoid

Vallegrande is in a stunning location, beautifully kept, excellent plumbing, aircon etc. It is a very pleasant place to be. However, the journey from the main road needs to be much more clearly highlighted. It is treacherous. Even for the most robust driver, it could only be attempted once a day which left us less likely to go to the beach or the town for lunch etc. The website implies some kind of organic food escape. This not the case. Breakfast remained completely the same for 10 days. Not one item changed. Rock hard and poorly mixed scrambled eggs, gone off pineapple, faded grated carrot, very average and not crispy croissants. Even the £7 omelette was over done, one crepe was served for €6, one boiled egg €4. The lunch offering was poor, an €18 chicken salad had scraps of chicken, chunks of golden delicious apple, rocket and no dressing. A side of bread from breakfast was served. While some staff were friendly, there was an air from many that they just did not want to be there. Smiles were rare. We had a very basic massage is a painted plywood box/shed, don't bother to be honest. We had a wonderful holiday in a stunning part of the world. However, these are the things I would question before booking. As a final sign off, following paying a bill of over €5,000 (we had two rooms), I asked for a bottle of water for the journey in 35 degree heat and was charged €3.

We stayed for two nights at Vallegrande. Considering the branding (relaxed luxury) we thought this resort would have couples as guest, but the majority was families with children. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy some quiet time at the resort, this place is not for you. The beds were also rock hard. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and the service was amazing!

What a wonderful find - a hilltop retreat of tranquility. Don’t let the steep narrow approach or the narrow gated entrance put you off. This really is a special place with its nature inspired rooms, infinity pool and friendly welcoming staff.
