Tenuta Sovestro

We stayed here for our honeymoon, it was an absolute dream. The family owned restaurant we found was our favourite of all San Gimignano so we ate there most nights - do book as all the locals come here! The staff were so lovely and helped us book a taxi to return to the airport. The views were stunning, room was gorgeous and clean, the pool was so relaxing and we loved the shuttle service they run for drop off and pick ups to the city of San Gimignano. We tended to catch the morning shuttle because the walk is beautiful but uphill for a while and then in the late afternoon we’d walk down as it was a lovely walk with amazing views all downhill. We didnt bring a car we caught a bus to the hotel and took the bus to sienna for a day trip. I would recommend booking a cab from the station to the venue if you can as we didnt and the buses arrived at unpredictable times but we made do haha. The breakfast was brilliant, I am coeliac and a pescatarian and felt very well catered for - i had the best baked gluten free bread i’ve ever had. The wine tasting was brilliant and the one regret we had was not bringing a big enough suitcase to bring some home!

Arrived for 2 nights to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Our room was in the Burnt House, modern, clean & just perfect. They even left us a bottle of wine to celebrate. The pool area is lovely and quiet & you can order food and drinks. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. We used the free shuttle to the town which was great. The meal in the restaurant was by far the best meal we had whilst in Italy. Home cooked by the family on a gorgeous terrace. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful small inn renovation from a stone building with deluxe amenities and facilities including a small pool. Easy parking and a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to San Gimignano. The property offers wine tasting and sale of their own products and is affiliated with a superb restaurant steps away. Delicious dinner and extensive breakfast buffet.

Unfortunatelly we just had one night there. We will came back to enjoy it in the Vindima time. Rooms are cozy and the restaurant is great. Do try the local wine from them and enjoy the view around it. It is close to the city, we had a car, but they told be I could walk up the hill.... I guess it is an option for those in good physical shape and with time.

Lovely room with plenty of character and space. Spotlessly clean with excellent bathroom and room facilities. A little more expensive than the neighbouring hotel but the room made up for the small price difference, plus you can use the hotel facilities at your leisure
