Ocean Coral Spring

We travelled here in the summer this year for a huge family reunion, and this hotel more than met all our expectations for accommodating such a large group! Our stay was impeccable. The food variety was truly outstanding, and the staff—from the welcome team, pool bar staff, groundsmen, cleaners, and chefs (especially in the teppanyaki restaurant)—were all top-level in courtesy, kindness, hard work, and entertainment. The evening entertainment was also of a very high standard and in full supply throughout our stay. The pools were beautiful, and the beach area was absolutely stunning. I only have one negative comment: the small local market connected to the beach could be a much greater asset to the overall experience if it were officially supported by the hotel. We LOVED it down there! The local vendors were so accommodating, and we genuinely wanted to support their businesses. Currently, hotel security requires you to sign out and back in to visit the market, which we did almost daily for two weeks. Unfortunately, I noticed many guests seemed hesitant or even afraid to enter because of this process. Given the size and self-sufficiency of the hotel, many guests may never feel the need to leave the grounds—but this small market offers a lovely, authentic taste of Jamaica that adds real value to the experience. If the hotel were to embrace and support it more directly, it could become a true highlight for guests, a great opportunity for local sellers, and a unique feature that sets the hotel apart.

I want to share my gratefulness and true pleasure it has been to be accommodated by the wonderful staff at Ocean Coral Springs and Ocean Eden Bay! Many thanks to (among others): guest services, la Locanda (Peta-Gaye & Akiem), the lovely atmosphere and nice strong coffee at Mike’s (Lotoya and Shanel!), fun at the Eden Bay Bar Bingo and the great late nights with the best margarita’s (Billy and Jason) and certainly, last the amazing Entertainment (and sports team) of Ocean Coral Spring led by Sean and assistant entertainment manager. Dedra, Cyril, Kemar, Ricardo, Joseph and the girl on the team Natricia; you have made me feel right at home! Keep it up, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do (haha!) and take care! Moya & Daniel were a nice addition to an amazing trip to Trelawny! The weather was great in early October and looking forward to visiting Ocean Coral Spring soon!

Location was beautiful as was the room. Service was impeccable but the food was subpar. The best things I ate were the ackee and salt fish for breakfast, the ocean burger for lunch and eating at Sakura for dinner. My two butlers were amazing. Lorenzo and Nazwa both took very good care of me and made sure my baby was ok. Definitely going back. Don’t spare the expense when you go there!!! Upgrade to the privilege, you won’t regret it!!!
