Ocean Coral Spring

On behalf of the center of Success Pre-School and Kindergarten We would like to commend the members of staff of the Ocean Spring hotel. We enjoyed our day to the max. we ate and frolic all day. Big up to the max Big up to Jannell and the check in staff👍👍👍👍

A beautiful resort and plenty of fun, but also disappointing. Our room was only cleaned once in 6 days. I found bugs and hair that was not mine under the sheets after the only time they cleaned the room. The pool deck was nice but the pool itself was dirty: hair and cups floating around and mildew buildup on the sides. Restaurant food and service also disappointing. Service was slow, they “ran out” of menu items, restaurants were closed on different nights and not consistent with the printed schedule. Hardly any vegetables or fruits were served. The $35 per day per person up-charge for access to Eden Bay not worth it. Having a balcony in our room to watch sun set each night was wonderful. I found my new favorite flavor of ice cream: grape nut. I very much enjoyed the private beach and the lazy river. This resort has the potential to be a wonderful destination if only the management truly cared about the guest experience. Six days of she same thing has me focusing on the negatives and not the positives. If you plan a trip here, I would suggest staying only 3 or 4 nights before this place status getting on your nerves.

Ocean Coral Springs in Trelawny, Jamaica is a beautiful resort with attractive grounds, good amenities, and many staff members who were friendly and welcoming. I would especially like to recognize our butlers, Joe Marie and Moya, who were attentive, professional, kind, and provided excellent service throughout our stay. They were one of the highlights of our trip. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a serious security incident involving a stolen device that went missing from inside our guest room on May 26, 2026. Hotel loss prevention responded, and the police came overnight to take a report. The following morning, we repeatedly requested updates and were consistently told that the investigation was still ongoing. We were informed that lock access records had been reviewed and that management was aware of who entered the room during the timeframe the device went missing. We were also told CCTV footage was being reviewed. Despite this, no findings were shared with us before departure, and we ultimately left the property while the investigation was still ongoing. What was particularly concerning was the communication surrounding the incident. Head of Security Josephine Morant never contacted us directly regarding the investigation, and we later learned that the General Manager had not initially been informed due to internal communication and chain-of-command issues. To her credit, Operations Manager Tanisha Noble met with us and appeared to make a genuine effort to assist with the limited information available to her. However, no investigative findings or clear next steps could be provided before our departure. What makes this especially disappointing is that we paid an additional premium for the Privilege Club experience, which is marketed as offering elevated service, personalized attention, enhanced guest support, and a higher standard of hospitality. When a serious issue occurred, we expected that elevated level of service to be reflected in the hotel's response. Instead, we found ourselves repeatedly seeking updates, receiving limited information, and leaving without answers regarding the ongoing investigation. I was also disappointed by the handling of the matter by Loss Prevention Manager Liggia Russell. From my perspective, the response lacked the level of empathy, cooperation, urgency, transparency, and solution-oriented support that I would have expected following the report of a missing device from inside a guest room. Ocean Coral Springs is a beautiful property, and several staff members provided outstanding service. However, guest incident response, communication, and accountability during serious situations need significant improvement. I hope management reviews its procedures and ensures that future guests receive the level of support and service that is promised, especially when issues of this nature arise.

I stayed at Ocean Coral Spring from 5/9/2026-5/16/2026 with my husband, baby, toddler and extended family (we were a group of 10 total). We did pay for the Privilege upgrade. I will try to break down our experience into categories. To summarize quickly, however, due to cleanliness issues, we unfortunately would not return. Check in: Took about an hour. There was a lot of waiting involved, despite the upgrade to Privilege and having “private check-in”. After a long day of travel with children this was not ideal. Furthermore, once we arrived to our room after check-in, none of our wrist bands worked. We had to trek back to the front desk to get them reprogramed again. It was a frustrating experience overall. Rooms: We stayed in room 2420 – a Privilege Junior Suite. For being a fairly new resort, rooms are quite worn. Moisture warped furniture made it difficult to open closets and doors. The couch and benches at the foot of the bed were stained. The sofa bed was visibly dirty covered in crumbs/debris and I would not recommend anyone plan on using that. The bed is quite hard and the pillows are flat and need to be replaced. We did request a mattress topper and were told one would be added, but it never was (this is a theme of our stay here). We also requested to have the AC looked at as the humidity remained at 82-84% in the room throughout the stay. This was difficult for my child with asthma. I repeatedly asked for service on this as well, and was assured it would be done, but it was not. Finally, we requested a crib upon our initial booking, and again at check in. It was not provided. We asked for the crib to be brought to the room 4x throughout our first day, with each staff member we spoke to ensuring us it would be there shortly. Finally, at 9PM on night one, our butler replied that there were actually no more cribs. This was troublesome with a baby and no safe sleep setup. It made for a less than ideal sleep, vigilantly watching my baby in the bed to ensure she was OK. The crib finally was provided the evening of night 2. Not having the crib was not OK, but what was more unacceptable for us was being consistently told all evening that one was coming and then having to scramble at bedtime to figure it out. We saw reviews about faulty safes prior to coming and did not utilize the safe so I cannot comment there. No one in our party had any issues with belongings. Pools: The pool was beautiful. Temperature was nice and refreshing. Julissa provided Privilege poolside service and was wonderful. We also had a great experience at the water park. The kids loved it and though the food was not good (hot dogs, burgers, nuggets under heat lamps) it was nice that the kids could be eating immediately. The pools/water park were certainly a highlight of our stay. Beach: I would not recommend this resort for the beach. The beach is small and very rocky. The Privilege side of the beach was much improved than the standard side of the beach, and even then you really had to be very vigilant even with kids playing in the sand due to the rocky shoreline. One positive of the beach, however, was that the waters were shallow so when my toddler did enter in a safe spot, he was able to stand/play without issue. He had a blast. Spa: The customer service at the spa was subpar, and we did not receive any information on the pools/sauna/steam room and their recommended use prior to our massage services. In the past, my experience has been staff members giving you general information on the order of these things. We tried to figure it out on our own and also had to keep track of time to ensure we were inside for our massage on time. There was no clock in the pool room, which might have helped since our devices were in lockers. Activities: We really did not partake in much night life so cannot comment on the disco or hookah bar. We enjoyed the live music after dinner and the Jamaican night. We thought the activities we experienced were really good. Food: UGH. This is the part. It pains me to write this because the food truly was tasty. We were impressed with the flavors at Thali and Sugar Cane, especially. The meal quality at Sugar Cane and Thali was comparable to something I would order and pay for and made the experience feel special. Less so with the other restaurants, but they were still good considering it is all-inclusive. Mike’s coffee was great! We would not recommend Sakura, the show was mediocre and the food was also not very good. Drinks were typical all inclusive drinks. You definitely can taste the difference when ordering drinks at the Privilege bars instead. Unfortunately, while dining at Sugar Cane and Sakura we encountered cockroaches ☹. At Sugar Cane, roaches scattered along the restroom floor as I entered. At Sakura on our last night, however, a cockroach crawled across the table and onto my sushi plate. No one in my party was able to comfortably eat after that. The servers/chef brushed it off and squished it and carried on with the show. A comment was made by one staff member “They came out too early today!”. I saw more cockroaches in hallways as well as in the showtime theatre. I understand this is a tropical climate, but after seeing them around my food and on my table, I unfortunately cannot recommend the dining experience at Ocean Coral. I wanted to speak to guest services about this issue, but because it happened on the last night and we checked out early the next day, I was not able to. I did let them know on the phone and I did let the Privilege concierge at checkout know of our experience as well. I also left this information on a survey card in the room. I am not sure if management has heard about any of it. Overall, my group had a great time at Ocean Coral Springs. We enjoyed the pools and prior to the last night, were pleasantly surprised by the food. Customer service, however, was lacking and inconsistent in many areas and due to pest issues/cleanliness issues, we cannot recommend this resort to family and friends. There is strong potential at Ocean Coral Springs, and I hope that management can proactively address the customer service shortcomings and the pest problem so that others can enjoy their experience in the future.

The experience at ocean Coral spring was an exceptional one, the customer service and services were nice. Special thanks to our lovely bar server Sashanell and Andre at the front desk for making our stay a good one.
