Great location if you want peace. Spotlessly clean and self catering apartment is well equipped. One downside….the beds are on castors on tile floors so if you sit up in bed, you glide away from the wall 😂😂 Overall, would come again and surrounding restaurants are lovely.

This modern property is beautifully designed, well maintained and a perfect holiday destination. Staff are extremely helpful, pleasant and cheerful. It has the perfect location, close to the beaches and some great restaurants and cafes within a short walk. We have stayed a number of times and look forward to returning in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Esmeralda Homes Aparthotel. Check‑in was simple and straightforward, and the duplex itself was clean, modern, and well appointed. The only feature we weren’t entirely convinced by was the large bathtub on the upper sun terrace — an interesting choice, though we weren’t sure how practical it was. Before arriving, we had been a little concerned about potential construction noise from the two nearby developments, but this turned out to be unnecessary. There was no building activity over the festive period, and our stay was wonderfully peaceful. Overall, we’d happily book and stay at the Esmeralda again in the future.

Stunning accommodation. We had a roof top terrace apartment which is recommended, can't remember room number but we were on the far left hand corner (looking from reception) overlooking bakery/cafes/shops/ from the grass terraced area . Shame about the construction work right next door, Mon-Fri, starting early anything from 7.30am till 6pm. Topped with bin collections anytime from 4am-6pm. Receptionist not sympathetic to my complaint and brushed off by Jet2 when contacted them. So wasn't exactly the relaxing holiday we needed. We were booked for Feb 2026 to go back El Cotillo to Cortillo Reef next door but have cancelled as no way will construction be finished. If booking through Jet2 CHECK the small print.... it's so small I'm still looking for it.... as they claim it's mentioned about the building works ... if I'd seen this I wouldn't have booked as this wasn't a cheap place to stay for 2 weeks. If you do visit El Cotillo, walk to harbour area where there's more restaurants. The Italian, Amarillo, near our accommodation is well worth a visit, very friendly couple who own it and food delicious. Avoid Bagus Beach bar, very rude staff and favoured locals over anyone. Coyote Bar brilliant with live music most nights by owner. We may go back one day but not for a very long time!!!!

These apartments are set in a nice quiet complex in the lovely town of El Cotello. Situated around five mins from the beach lagoons, adjacent to some shops and restaurants and a ten minute walk to the old town harbour with more bars and restaurants. The whole complex is very quiet and clean. The apartments are quite comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with the basics but no oven. The beds are comfy but could be too soft for some and the sofa is not the must comfortable. The apartment is however spacious. The pool is open from 11 to 5 and there’s also a gym. If you have a hire car you can park outside in the street. There’s many a report of noisy building work in the area. We didn’t experience this but it could be due to the time of year. You can definitely see some other buildings being created in the vicinity. One annoying thing is the shower can flood the bathroom floor but there’s a mop to quickly dry things off.
