Hotel LIVVO Jandia Golf

Absolutely awful hotel! The main ladies toilets next to the outdoor bar had 2 of 3 broken for the whole duration of our 10 day stay, with no workmen around to even try and fix it. The entertainment staff work hard with what they are given, some bar staff also work very hard. The slide was also broken quite often. The reception staff and management are rude and do not have any interest in helping you. I had an apple watch charger pinched from my room, the only people that had been in my room was a cleaner. When I reported this they accused me of loosing the charger, yet it was plugged in to a double port with my phone charger wire and that was still there. I would advise anyone looking at booking this hotel to think twice.

This place was absolutely filthy.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. Prior to travel I was very apprehensive having read the most recent reviews. We did have a very enjoyable stay though. Our room was very spacious and a travel cot was provided for our baby. The room was clean on arrival, however it was only cleaned once during our stay despite asking for the cleaners to come in every 2nd day. We liked the food in the restaurant and felt there was lots of variety and there was always something different. Unfortunately there aren’t enough tables in the restaurant and this resulted in having to wait quite often. I imagine the situation will be much worse during peak season . The snack bar at lunchtime was also a hit. A highlight was the Italian restaurant we visited one night. It was also buffet style, but the food was different and a much higher standard. The drinks were good, but one staff member on the bar was frustrating at times when it was very busy. The token system worked well and definitely reduces the mess around the place. I was dubious about this before arrival, but was won over having experienced it. The restaurant/ bar staff were friendly and clearly work very hard in such a busy environment. The hotel could definitely benefit from more cleaning throughout the day and a deep clean to address the mess in communal areas especially the birds dirt. The pool area was great and always plenty sun loungers. The kids pool was cold, but the slides a good addition. Overall we enjoyed our experience here and despite the long transfer time it was in a lovely location with a nice walk along the golf course. For what we paid I feel it was excellent value for money.

Having stayed in LIVVO inPuerto Megan’and Corralejo I had high expectations however Jandia was not as good. Despite comments made months ago management would address the long wait times at the pool and sports bar, still only one member of staff serving. At one point I waited 12 minutes to be served. On a positive note, the pool area was kept imacculate. The same couldn’t be said for the corridors and the area beside the lift to the sports bar is filthy. Skirting boards in room haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. On one occasion the cleaner left my patio door unlocked! Majority of staff work hard and are lovely. Could not fault the food in the restaurant. Booked the Italian and disappointed to find it was buffet style too. A week here was enough as there is nothing around unless you have a long walk or use the shuttle bus.
