El Rondo

I had another stay here from 18th May for 1 week. I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and always had a fantastic stay. This time I stayed half board and I'm so glad I did. The breakfast is always great but the evening meal was fantastic. The restaurant stay are brilliant and no ask is ever too much. The rooms in this hotel are fantastic. I always request the same room and this is usually facilitated. On the one occasion it wasn't, I was placed in a room on a lower floor but it had the exact same lay out which suited me. The hotel staff from reception to housekeeping are all amazing. This hotel is a gem and I highly recommend you try it. I have a further 3 stays already booked and im looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks.

Do you know we arrived evening around 10pm from our flight. Transfer and drop offs around an hour. We checked in which was quick and easy. Complimentary drink and a salad put by for something to eat as restaurant was closed. Wow, our room was nice, big and clean. His and her sink and shower, sofa area, nice balcony, all looking good. Breakfast was OK, good selection if you like bacon and eggs, cereal, continental and pastries. I recommend the bacon, cooked fresh to your liking. Dinner was a La carte, fresh off the menu, not food sitting and waiting for you. Specials most nights. Food OK, the burger we asked well done but still blood in burger which put us off, ordering another. Recommend Ceasar salad, very nice. Now, outside the hotel, immediately next door there is a gay hotel, nothing against them but this is right next door with pictures all across the front of entrance and to the side showing men very intimate. I checked trip advisor and no mention... The hotel is not mentioned and families would be put off as the sights we saw every night, not a place for the faint hearted. Just disappointed as not mentioned in hotel about the area being so full on everywhere you looked. The hotel as I say next door not mentioned and for the first 3-4 days we were there, their music was played SO loud and I love music, it was deafening... Couldn't sit round the pool, very off putting... There were same couples both men and women at our hotel or on their own too. I can't knock the staff, very friendly, hotel very clean, just wish we could of picked the hotel up and moved it.

Fantastic hotel!! The rooms are beautiful and spacious with very comfortable beds. The hotel was strangely quiet with very little guests. I was the only one by the pool till midday most days and then only 4 or 5 other people. It was after pride so this may of been why. Suited me though. Breakfast lovely. The omelette guy is fab as are all the staff. Odd towel rules. Can’t have fresh pool towels daily which is strange. Even the 3 star next door you can have them daily. Sold as environmental but clearly cost cutting. Also the towels in the rooms are not real bath towels and are very cheap which is not in keeping with the hotel. But they are my only criticisms. If you love the gym. This must be the best gym in PDI. Locals are members of the gym and there are classes and full equipment. I will be back to Rondo!! I would 100% recommend.

Juts back from a little 4 night break and all I can say is wonderful, I stayed here back in 2010 and it was ok but since its refurbished its even better than I remember, Now for the Price I payed I was not expecting what i got I stayed in a Junior Suite and it was on the 5th floor room 519 and what a view and a sea view too made it even better, sun trap from 8am until about 5pm, the rooms are lovely 2 big singles together but the honestly are bigger than singles and they are very comfortable for sleeping, 50 inch smart tv with plenty of channels 4 main British ones too but u do need to flick through to find them, it also has a mini fridge for keeping your drinks cool but its mini so dont be buying 2 litre bottles of cola I had to move the shelves to fit a bottle of cola and a bottle of water. Not really any need for bringing plus either and it has cable sockets for charging your phones etc. Bathroom has a lovely walk in shower and was amazing, it has 2 sinks and the toilet is in its own frosted glass cubicle for privacy my only issue with the bathroom are the towels they are just normal sized bath towels most hotels ive been to have large bath sheet towels and very fluffy. But again disappointed they where hard not fluffy. I was only bed n breakfast so can't comment on lunch or the evening meal but breakfast was good they have a large selection of continental meats, cheese, cereals, yogurt fruit pastries which u expect for Europe and again the usual type of hot breakfast beans eggs sausage bacon but through eggs and bacon is cooked fresh for you (except the boiled obviously) I was having fresh omelette every morning. Didn't really use the pool so can't comment but from my balcony there was ample enough beds . If you like your all over tan then there is also lovely roof top solarium. Back in 2010 it was just a rooftop with some benches. beds and a couple of showers. Its now all fake grass, showers, toilets, comfy beds and a water machine, just make sure u wear lots of sunfactor 2 hours and I was like a lobster and it was very cloudy that afternoon. I had a late evening flight and was able to pay for a late check out which was a god send but suppose its still low season so it wasn't very busy. All in all I had a fantastic stay here and wont hesitate to book again. Sadly i have already booked my October holiday in another hotel but maybe next year I'll choose the Rondo Thank you very much for my wonderful stay

Lovely hotel fantastic food for half board with more selection in the sister hotel if the menu wasn’t to taste. The cocktails were really good and made properly. Would definitely come back. Gian was really friendly and helpful
