Servatur Puerto Azul

Our second holiday to Servatur Puerto Azul. Absolutely love it here. We’ve been to lots of different All Inclusive hotels and this is by far our favourite. Excellent food, such a delicious high quality selection freshly cooked. Beautiful views and very clean throughout. Staff work incredible hard. The animation team are brilliant, we love the entertainment. The new addition of the Spa and Coffee Shop onsite is very welcomed. Thank you to the whole team!

This is an absolutely fabulous hotel and amenities. I was initially worried it would be "overrun by kids" as previously mentioned, but it absolutely isn't. Are there lots of kids? Yeah, but remember, this hotel has 3 kids pools including a splash park, 2 water slides, a play park, and 2 areas of arcade games - of course there's going to be kids! If you want adults only, pick an adults only hotel. However, if you are going as a family, this hotel is a great choice as it combines all the above with a very upmarket expensive feel to the whole place. Also, the pool areas are huge, and you never feel on top of each other, even if you pick beds down by the pool front. Unfortunately we encountered a big storm while we were there, and what this meant was that some areas were closed (snack bar was closed, outdoor seating for restaurant and lobby bar etc). This meant that at times it felt very cramped, particularly in the restaurant, which at the best of times felt chaotic and busy. One morning we went for breakfast and there were no tables at all anywhere, which I've never encountered on a holiday. But as soon as the weather improved, you could see just how well laid out everything was as more seating became available. Food in the restaurant was excellent quality and variety, every day had Mexican, Italian, Asian and meat options, and I recouped my all inclusive money in thr soft serve ice cream! Only thing is, it was quite repetitive, by the last day of our 7 I found I had kind of exhausted myself of it all. All inclusive drinks aren't great as others say, but we're not that fussy so it worked for us! The wine was nice. We had a superior double room with a side sea view in block 7, and the room was so spacious and clean. Having the room key card built into the wristband is genius, but I am covered in scratches from it where I have scraped myself! The way they number the floors, and the lifts is absolutely mind boggling. After a week I still used to get out of the lift unsure if I was in the right place! Also, take mosquito repellent! We got about 5 bites between us

Fourth time in this hotel and cannot fault. Plenty of adults only sections and the previous comments are ridiculous-if you want an adult’s only hotel book that. You can’t moan about kids and knock this hotel. Food amazing staff amazing handy shop outside. Brill walk down to fab beach - taxi it back! Superb in every sense. We book the swim up suite and it’s well worth the extra for that private area.

We recently stayed at this hotel and while it is a lovely property with so much potential, our overall experience was unfortunately impacted by the number of children throughout the resort. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is amazing, and you can really see how special it could be. However, it would benefit hugely from being an adults-only hotel, or at the very least having designated adults-only areas. The pools were the biggest issue for us. It was almost impossible to enjoy a proper swim because there were so many kids jumping in, splashing, and throwing balls around. The infinity pool in particular is absolutely stunning and has an incredible view, but it was constantly overrun with children screaming and splashing. It really feels like this pool should be adults-only so guests can relax and actually enjoy the view and atmosphere. There are also two larger pools, and it would make sense if at least one of them were adults-only as well. The hotel is big enough to easily separate quieter areas for couples and areas for families. Another issue we noticed was around the drink machines, where kids were filling multiple cups with different juices simply because they could, which often left a mess and long queues for other guests. In the dining areas, tables were not cleared quickly enough, making it difficult at times to find a clean table without dirty plates and cups left on it. Our room unfortunately looked directly onto another building, and we also had a family above us whose child was running around the room and what sounded like jumping off the bed onto the floor from around 6am every morning, which wasn’t the most relaxing start to the day. It’s a real shame because this truly is a lovely hotel with fantastic food and so much potential. However, the number of children throughout the resort made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the facilities. If the hotel became adults-only, or at least created better separation between families and couples, it would make a huge difference. Sadly, because of this, we don’t think we would return.
