We booked this hotel for a last-minute family getaway and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel was immaculately clean throughout, with spacious, modern rooms that were perfect for our family. The entertainment was excellent, particularly the onsite entertainment team, who were fantastic and really helped make our stay enjoyable. The food was of good quality with plenty of variety, ensuring there was something for everyone. The complimentary kids' club was a real bonus. Our children loved it and were always eager to go back, which gave us some time to relax as well. The pool facilities are outstanding, offering something for every type of guest. There are lively family pools, a quieter infinity pool, a splash pool with slides for children, and adult-only areas for those seeking a more peaceful atmosphere. The views are absolutely spectacular and were one of the highlights of our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a fun, relaxing, and well-equipped holiday destination.

We stayed at Servatur Puerto Azul in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, from 29th May as a family of five (two adults and three children aged 14, 12 and 11), booking a Family Suite Top Floor Sea View with All-Inclusive Plus. We arrived around 12:30pm and were informed that our room wouldn't be ready until 3pm. However, we were able to store our luggage, collect our wristbands and start using all the hotel facilities straight away, which was appreciated. First impressions were excellent. The hotel is modern, spotless and very well maintained. The staff throughout the resort work incredibly hard, from housekeeping and catering to the animation team and lifeguards. The water slides were a huge hit with our children. There are two slides, one open and one enclosed, and they provided hours of entertainment. The lifeguards were great fun too, often joining in the excitement by counting everyone down before races. When we got into our room (5807), we were delighted with the rooftop location and fantastic sea views. The balcony was spacious with a table and two loungers, and the bathroom was a good size. The room itself felt slightly smaller than expected from the photos. One thing worth noting is that the sofa bed is a single pull-out rather than a double, which may be useful information for larger families. Being on the top floor was fantastic because nobody overlooked us, although we could see into many of the lower balconies. Depending on the room category you book, privacy may vary. My biggest concern was room safety. Neither patio door had a lock that prevented children from opening them, and while the main door could be locked from the outside, there was no way to stop someone from leaving from inside. One night my daughter, who occasionally sleepwalks, managed to open the room door and was heading out into the corridor wrapped in a blanket. Thankfully I woke up and stopped her. Had I not heard her, the situation could have been much more serious. Families with toddlers, children who wander, or sleepwalkers should be aware of this and may want to bring an additional child-safety lock. For the remainder of our stay, I barricaded the door with furniture for peace of mind. The food was exceptional and genuinely the best we've experienced at an all-inclusive hotel. Breakfast offered huge variety and catered for everyone. Lunch was excellent, and the pool bar was a great alternative with burgers, pizza, chips, salads, desserts and snacks available throughout the afternoon. Dinner was the standout meal each day. There were themed stations including Mexican, Tex-Mex and Asian dishes. The Chinese section was my personal favourite, especially the sushi. There was also an impressive cheese selection, crackers, dips, olives, figs and much more. The children's highlight was definitely the chocolate fountain. The drinks stations located throughout the hotel were excellent and very convenient. Soft drinks, water, beer and wine were available using the wristband scanning system, which worked well. My only significant disappointment concerned the All-Inclusive Plus package, specifically the ice cream offering. We paid the additional upgrade largely because it included premium drinks for adults and unlimited ice cream access for the children. Unfortunately, there was a complete lack of consistency regarding what was actually included. During the first two days, the children could choose from large cones, small cones or tubs. Then they were told only small cones were included. Later they were informed only large cones remained, but they would need to pay extra for them. After raising the issue with a manager, the children were allowed the cones. Then for several days we were told there were no cones available at all and only tubs could be provided. What made the situation frustrating was that different staff members gave different answers, and while some were extremely friendly and helpful, others were unnecessarily rude. My issue wasn't whether the children received a cone or a tub—it was the lack of clarity and consistency. If guests are paying extra for a package, the inclusions should be clearly defined and delivered consistently. The pool areas were excellent. Although some guests reserved sunbeds very early, the hotel wasn't at full capacity during our stay, so we never struggled to find somewhere to sit. We particularly loved the cabana-style beds, which could be adjusted to provide shade. This worked perfectly for one of our children who prefers to stay out of direct sunlight. The absolute highlight of the holiday was the animation team. They were outstanding. Our daughter was invited on stage twice, performing in both the circus show and a drama performance on our final evening. Our 14-year-old son loved the archery sessions, and the pool activities were a big hit with the whole family. These are memories we'll treasure for a long time. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is beautiful, the food is outstanding, the entertainment is excellent and the staff work incredibly hard. If the room safety concerns and the inconsistencies surrounding the All-Inclusive Plus package were addressed, this would easily be a five-star experience for us.
