We had a fantastic holiday overall and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many areas, and with a few small improvements it would be exceptional. The rooms were modern, spotlessly clean and serviced to an excellent standard every day, with fresh towels provided daily. The cleanliness throughout the entire hotel was outstanding, including the pool areas, restaurant, main lobby and public toilets. The food was incredible, with an excellent selection available at breakfast, lunch and dinner, including plenty of gluten-free options. The pool snack bar was also fantastic, serving fresh food with a great variety throughout the afternoon. The ice cream station in the restaurant was a real highlight, and the aquapark slides and games arcade were brilliant additions that we really enjoyed. There are, however, a few areas where improvements could be made. The restaurant service in the evenings lacked the level of service you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Tables were not set with cutlery or napkins before guests arrived, and guests were not shown to their tables. It would also have been nice if staff took drinks orders at the table, such as offering water or wine, rather than guests having to help themselves. We also felt that beachwear should not be permitted in the restaurant during the evening as it takes away from the dining atmosphere. The standard all-inclusive drinks package was disappointing. The cocktails and beer were of a poor standard, and unless you upgrade to the All Inclusive Plus package, you are restricted to a very limited selection of alcoholic drinks. Freshly made cocktails, branded spirits and premium beers are only included with the Plus package. The coffee shop and ice cream parlour in reception are also excluded from the standard all-inclusive package, which was a shame. One suggestion we would make is to create a larger adults-only relaxation area. The infinity pool at the back of the main pool would be an ideal location to designate as adults only, providing more space for couples and families with older children looking for a quieter atmosphere away from the busier main pool. The only other downside was that there is no à la carte restaurant on site, with dining limited to the buffet restaurant. Despite these few points, we genuinely had a wonderful holiday. None of these issues spoiled our stay, and they are relatively small improvements that would make an already excellent hotel even better. We would happily return in the future and would definitely recommend the hotel to others looking for a clean, modern hotel with fantastic food and great facilities.

Just returned from a fantastic 7 days at the server stud puerto azul. Location fantastic, the sea views are outstanding and only a 5 min taxi to the busier areas for some night life with you want it. The rooms and the hotel in general were always clean and tidy. Food was a great standard for all inclusive and really good choice. Always something on offer and a variety of cuisines from Chinese to pizza to fish or Mexican! The all inclusive drinks machines make for a very convenient way of getting drinks by the pool and soft drinks at night. My only improvement would be in the lounge bar which opens at night, please start serving pints of beer on all inclusive. Currently it’s small glasses that you need to go back for another drink after 5 minutes and it causes a large queue at the bar, larger beers at night only would be a god send!

Excellent location, overlooking the harbour and sea, absolutely stunning views! Lovely and clean hotel, particularly around the pool areas, it helps that food is not allowed around the pool. Atmosphere was very relaxing near the infinity pool, we are all adults so didn't sit nearer the larger busier pool, however it sounded like families had real fun there with the activities and animation team! We had two rooms, both were lovely, well equipped and cleaners were excellent, changing towels daily, washing the floors and making the beds. Only gripe is the bed was two singles pushed together. Excellent cold fridge though 👍 The all-inclusive food was the best we'd ever had, cooked fresh and loads of choice to suit all dietary requirements, we fully enjoyed! The hotel was showing the world cup, but other than a few groups of lads getting tipsy, there wasn't any noise, the hotel is so large, there is little possibility of noise disturbance. The walk down to the Mall via the 700 steps wasn't too bad, but walking back up was a killer....definitely take a taxi back 🤣 Overall this place was stunning, we had the best week and we would 100% return here ❤️

Stayed as a couple for a week here, left with 0 complaints. The pools are really nice and warm, there are multiple soft drink and beer taps areas around the pools as well as the toilets being right next to the main pool. The food every day was really good including the snack bar by the pool which had the usual stuff like pizzas burgers chips etc. Dinner every night had a different section for each theme, but these would change every night so plenty of variety. We booked all inclusive plus so got access to better drinks which we thought was definitely worth it, not only do you get the proper drinks not the local alcohol, also get bigger drinks too, as well as unlimited redbull, heineken and ice cream. The ice cream was incredible plenty of flavours like biscoff, oreo etc. Lots of entertainment and music around the pool all day long and the entire hotel is always very clean and well maintained. The spar being right outside the front door is also helpful if you wish to buy things you don’t need to travel far as it is uphill so in the heat is a tough walk. Overall would definitely return and would recommended to everyone.

Stayed here for ten nights near the end of June/ start of July 2026. Arrived around 11pm, after a 35 minute private transfer from the airport. Check in was quiet and easy to do. We were given boxes which included a sandwich, fruit and cake in, plus a large bottle of water in the fridge. The all inclusive wristband, acts as your room key, plus activates the various drinks machines located around the resort. It is worth noting to reduce plastic, your own water bottle will be needed to fill up water from the machines. Stayed in block 7000, which was easy to get to from the reception area. The lifts are easy to work out once you’ve used them a few times. Decent sized room, which was cleaned daily. It is worth putting the do not disturb sign on the door if you don’t want your room cleaned too early. Otherwise there maybe a knock on the door pre 9am. The food at the main restaurant was good, and plenty of choice during the stay. Food at the pool bar was the same most days. The resort is huge and there are plenty of pools to choose from. The main pools are fairly busy with families. Whilst the panoramic and spa pool (horizon pool) are 18+, and much quieter and relaxing. Towels for round the pool were available for a €10 deposit, which was refundable at check out when the towel cards are handed back. Towels can be changed through out the week at a hut near the main pool. The entertainment team work hard throughout the day mainly round the main pool and putting on various shows in the evening. As the resort is on a hill, there are a lot of steps to get down to Puerto Rico beach, then different restaurants down there to choose from. We would generally walk down which took about 20 minutes, then get a taxi back for around €6. There is a free bus to and from the hotel to Amadores beach a few times a day, or again a steep walk down of around 20 minutes, or €5 in a taxi. All round a great resort to stay in, with something for everyone whether you’re a family or couple. Definitely recommend this resort and would stay again here in the future.
