City of Dreams Mediterranean

Arrived to hotel Waiting in line 2 hrs for check in Next morning was food poisoned and was in bed for next 2 days.

My daughter & family booked a stay at the City of Dreams Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. What was supposed to be a beautiful and joyful birthday celebration, turned out to be their worst ever stay in a undeserved 5 star hotel. As they walked in, to check in for 2 suites, they were told -no food- allowed, in a location where most guests are middle eastern kosher, halal and, no such service available on premises, except a kosher restaurant open Friday, Saturday, none on weekdays?

 Why not mention this restriction on booking platforms so clients are aware to choose the option to still go ahead and reserve or not, especially when coming in with kids?

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, which means a charge of €25 each way to go to the closest available kosher place, a less than 10 minutes taxi ride, translating in spending €50 just to get to eat with your family of 4…for a family of 5 or 6, count on extra €€€!…

 When we ordered take away for the kids, we were stopped like sub-tourists, and, had to feed them in the parking lot, when the suites have terraces where kids can seat comfortably to eat….

 The next day we tried to get to management, via the concierge, who promised to resolve…
Of course, no one called us, no one cared, purely and simply.
An hypocritical policy not mentioned clearly in their features facilities, claiming hygiene and safety from orders in a licensed restaurant!?!? We filed a complaint, with management, client relations and CEO Lawrence Ho Yau Lung…Nothing, Nada…ignored with contempt, a shamefultemplate standard from a customer relation, no reply to our complaint.

 We will escalate the issue till we get a proper compensation-refund for a stay where they ruined my daughter’s special day. The kids are literally upset about this aweful treatment, that left them just wanting to get away from this ordinary pretense location.

 Staff expressed understanding, embarassement, fear, justifying just following orders from people who care not to take responsibility behind their pathetic desk ignoring the basics of dealing properly with an issue and their clients. At this point at time, they are still ignoring our complaint. I will never ever recommend this place.

A well polished hotel Check in was efficient and smooth Rooms spacious clean and well equipped with a small mini bar. Beds very comfortable an the room temperature was just right however can be adjusted Views of salt lakes and sea The steak restaurant was beautiful and the food was well presented. Breakfast there was nothing you could have asked for. Everything was there and the service was excellent Casino was good fun The only downside. The inside pool was cold and def not heated Smoking inside the Casino so for those none smokers not good and you will smell of smoke when you leave

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at COD Anais in Limassol. From the moment we walked in, everything felt just right — elegant atmosphere, welcoming energy, and a team that clearly cares about every detail. The food was simply outstanding. We’ll definitely be back. 👌✨

Unfortunately, I went through an extraordinary trauma. On Saturday night, I went into the stairwell to go up to my floor (I was on the 10th floor and my room was on the 11th floor) and was locked in the stairwell without any answer for fifteen minutes that felt like an eternity. I went through an unbearable trauma because the stairwell doors were locked. Without any safety system for communication if someone got stuck. And I was without a phone. Only after going up and down 15 floors several times and screaming "help" and crying and shaking, did I find that on the ground floor there was an exit to a huge level and there I somehow found an elevator and through it I managed to get out to the lobby in exhaustion. I will never return to this hotel. I don't want to imagine what would have happened if my son had gone in there by mistake. This hotel would have been sued for hundreds of thousands of euros.
