Kandima

Our honeymoon at Kandima Maldives was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, genuine kindness, and an atmosphere that made us feel instantly relaxed and celebrated. A very special thank you to Jonathan, the head chef, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From arranging an incredible dining experience at Smoke to as well as one of the best medium-rare steaks we’ve ever had, every detail was perfect. The highlight was a beautifully set private table on the beach — such a romantic and thoughtful touch that we will cherish forever. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Zian, who consistently went the extra mile to make us feel at home. His friendly nature and attentiveness made such a difference, and we especially appreciated the opportunity to try authentic Maldivian cuisine — which we absolutely loved! Every moment at Kandima felt special, from the stunning surroundings to the exceptional service. Thank you for giving us memories we will treasure for a lifetime. We cannot wait to return!

A big thank you to Anju and Nimesha, the waiters — both were incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. They really made a difference in our daily experience. We’d also like to recognize the head chef of Flavour restaurant, as well as the restaurant manager/supervisor. Their professionalism, communication, customer focus, and attention to every guest truly stand out. You can feel the effort they put into creating a great dining experience. Special appreciation to the administration team and the reception (chat service), which was always very responsive and helpful in resolving any questions quickly and efficiently. The ocean is absolutely pristine, and it’s noticeable how every morning the staff carefully clean the beach if anything is brought in by the waves — this level of care does not go unnoticed. A big thank you to Kamila as well — she does a great job presenting the new property development. She took extra time with us and even kindly showed our children where the stingrays swim, which made it a really memorable moment for them. Housekeeping also deserves recognition — the rooms were always perfectly clean, and everything we needed was provided promptly. The Play Space team is fantastic too — attentive, friendly, and always ready to help and explain how everything works. The only significant downside was the seaplanes, which arrive and depart early in the morning (around 6:00–7:30 AM), and that noise can disturb sleep. Overall, though, this was a fantastic experience, and we truly appreciate the effort of the entire team. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Great food , excellent house keeping. The staff is nice and welcoming. The resort is kid friendly. The island is a bit remote but the transfers are enjoyable. Everything is clean and well maintained. The rooms are well isolated and general noise level is low. Excellent value to price ratio.

Arpita at the Forbidden Bar was one of the highlights of our stay at Kandima. She’s so lovely and made us feel welcome from day one. Her cocktails were consistently the best we had on the island—really well made! Her pornstar martinis were exactly the same as at home. We ended up going back most nights. She made a big difference to our trip, and it wouldn’t have been the same without her. Kandima is lucky to have her behind the bar!
