Safari Island Resort

Krásný menší resort. Kvalitní služby, krásné korály a možnost šnorchlováni i se žraloky vouskatými a útesovými. Jídlo skvělé. Bohužel nás zklamalo ubytování, náš bungalov byl bez pláže a ve stínu, byla to velká škoda okolí bylo jinak příjemné a zelené. Příště nám snad bude vyhověno ve změněn bungalovu. Děkuji

Z několika navštívených hotelů na Maledivách tento považuji za TOP! Nádherný exotický ostrov, dokonalé pláže, perfektní strava a luxusní ubytování. Tady nikomu nic nemůže chybět :-) Bydleli jsme ve vodním bungalovu a maximální spokojenost! Lehátka na terase splňují maximální komfort a můžete celý den jen relaxovat, opalovat se a šnorchlovat.

My partner and I went here for a relaxing holiday. It started very good. Staff in restaurant, bars and room service very polite and friendly. We went for 10 days and were bitten the odd time by mosquitos but well within what we have had on past visits to numerous islands. On the 9th night my partner was bitten while in bed quiet extensively,but on the 10th night we made sure we used copious amounts of repellent, to no avail. I was very near eaten alive and still bear the scars. I will add pictures. It was not until we arrived home it was pointed out to us it was bed bugs. Bed Bugs habits are sleep for a week to ten days then come out to feast and go back into hiding, this can be clarified in books. We were told by tui uk after a poor review they would pass this to there legal team regards a claim????? suggested by them. We did not want to pursue a claim but would just like to warn future visitors to this island what to expect.It turned out we were not the only victims after chatting with fellow holidaymakers. If you have any problems make sure you get pictures of the bugs eating you if you need to take any further action. We are shocked at being bitten by bed bugs in this day and age.

We traveled to Safari Island for two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly at all times and anticipated our every need. Our beach bungalow was very cozy and was cleaned every day. The food was delicious and there was a wide selection of different dishes. There was something for every taste. One of the highlights of the island is definitely the amazing house reef with its rich underwater world full of fish. You discover something new every day. Safari Island is the perfect island to relax and unwind. The greatest experience for us was the whale shark overnight trip. We had a great crew with Imaad/Imran/Zuheyru who went to great lengths to find the whale shark. If you are also thinking about doing this, I can highly recommend this crew. The trip was really impressive and an experience you will never forget for the rest of your life. Highly recommended.

Having just realised I haven’t done my review for my repeat trip to Safari Island in June/July I thought I’d best put that right. I stayed here for 22 nights in June/July for the second year running. The beach was in a better condition on the reef side this year which made it easier for walking round. I had a beach villa and had room 101 which is in the ideal location for going to the restaurant and bar, I had room 102 last year so requested the same area. The staff here are great, all very friendly and helpful and soon get to know all your orders. The food here is very good, and as a fussy eater that doesn’t do spice I could still find more than enough to eat. After a few days there another couple had left and my waiter moved me to a table ľooking out over the bay so I could sit and watch the sharks swimming as I ate. I like to sit out the back on the decking of the main bar in the evenings, getting a nice breeze and watching the fish and sharks going by. They have a live band on a Sunday night, but other than that there is no nightly entertainment in the bar so it’s a lot quieter and easier for people to chat without shouting. The villas are cleaned daily and are very nice and spacious, they have indoor bathrooms which isn’t as common these days in the Maldives, and you have two nice loungers on the decking with two more that you can drag out on to the beach. The snorkelling here is very good, especially if you like to see sharks as there are so many with lots staying around the restaurant in the day to rest. The coral seemed to of improved since last year, and is probably the best I’ve seen albeit not colourful but that’s the case everywhere in the Maldives unless you go deeper. You can snorkel all the way round the reef side and there is a lot of variety to see including rays, eels, clownfish, batfish, turtles and all the usual ones that you see at other islands, the only thing I’m still to see here is an octopus but they’re always the hardest to spot. Another positive for this island, and the chain that owns it is you can do HB+ which is perfect for me as I don’t bother with lunch, so I get y main two meals plus drinks, and on it you can also get toasted sandwiches and fries in the main bar late afternoon, so you don’t go hungry. I travel as a solo but that’s never been an issue, if you want to chat to people they are usually open to it, or if you want to stay to yourself also not an issue. The pool area is very nice and well located as well, the loungers are very comfy and the waiters are bringing you refills before you’ve even finished the previous drink 😂 This island is also in a nice price bracket, especially for this time of year, and looking for 2026 it seems to also be very affordable so would definitely recommend it. There are numerous trips you can book on to, including the hire of a boat that will take you off to try and see manta rays and whale sharks, and with a bedroom on the boat you can hire it for up to 24 hours at a time, but having done none of the trips I can’t comment on that.
