Cugó Gran Macina Grand Harbour

Our stay at Cugo Gran Macina was one of the highlights of our trip to Malta. We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite, and waking up each morning to the stunning views over the marina was simply unforgettable. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and made our stay feel extra special. The location is excellent. We loved being able to take the ferry across to Valletta, which made exploring the city incredibly easy while allowing us to return to the peaceful atmosphere of Senglea at the end of the day. A special thank you to Rafal and Valentina, whose warm hospitality and outstanding service truly stood out. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight, with a generous spread offering plenty of fresh and delicious options to start the day. We left with wonderful memories and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Malta.

Beautiful and unique hotel in a nice neighborhood a short boat ride away from the hustle and bustle of Valleta. Great views from our room and the pool deck. Room was spacious and well designed. Service could have been better though. We were told breakfast was included by the staff so my family of 4 ate there every morning believing it was part of the package. We even ate there when we would have skipped breakfast or ate at other locations. Then on our last day they tell us breakfast is not included. So it was annoying and a disappointing part of the experience. When I told the staff this they did not seem to care. I thought it would have been appropriate of a 4/5 star hotel to comp a meal given they clearly screwed up misleading us into eating at the hotel breakfast each morning. The hotel also tried to bill us for an inbound transfer ride from the airport we did not use because we could not find the driver. We looked around for 20-25 min and emailed the hotel but could not get anyone to call us back so we took a cab. They told my wife we would not be charged but they kept it in the bill. They did quickly removed at check out however. Overall we enjoyed the stay but if you are use to 4/5 service you may be disappointed.

very nice place to stay ! beautiful location with a port view , perfect service and kindness . Facilities are just perfect . breakfast is excellent , and rooms are very agreeable.

The hotel was gorgeous, but the service was deplorable. The front desk staff were inconsistent at best and rude at worst. The rooms were never fully cleaned or stocked. As we attempted to arrange travel plans to the airport for an early morning departure, the staff suggested we figure it out ourselves as there was nothing the hotel could offer. I recommend you find a 5-star hotel with exceptional service. This is not worth the money.

Whenever we think Malta - we know our home in the Grand Harbour in Senglea. A historic place used as one of the most comfortable, strategically placed homes you can dream of, including its restaurant. The team offers best service and its friendlyness is legendary.
