V hotelu jsme vyzkušeli 2 různé pokoje protože jsme si prodlužovali pobyt - oba pokoje bez problémů jen v obou špatně odtékala voda z umyvadel i vany.

Hotelový personál příjemný a snídaně chutné.

The Grand Hotel in Gozo is situated a short walk from the harbour where all the ferries from Malta arrive into Gozo, making it a perfect place to stay if you want to explore the main island of Malta, or Comino Island and the Blue Lagoon. There is even a fast ferry every hour that takes only 30 minutes to get to Valetta, at a reasonable cost of €15 per person, return journey. The pace of Gozo is much more relaxed, which suited us fine. That said, there is plenty to do on Gozo if you wish to, just with less tourists! 😉 When we first arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a lovely smiling receptionist by the name of Anfissa, who made us feel very welcome. We were also greeted by the hotel manager, who was an equally charming lady. Then on a subsequent day, we met another lovely receptionist by the name of Majda who was also very helpful and smiling. This is a simple thing that so many hotels get so wrong - Always put your nicest, helpful, most pleasant staff on reception, as this sets the tone for your guests. The Grand Hotel has got this spot on with these lovely ladies!! The hotel itself is excellent, with a fantastic outdoor infinity pool that we regularly used as a family. I used the Spa upon arrival and had a 2hr Male pamper session, which was worth every euro if the €160 cost, by a wonderful Hungarian lady called Viola. We had two Superior rooms with a terrace (506/507). The views were stunning, overlooking the sea, harbour and church. The air conditioning was excellent, and the beds were extremely (large) and comfortable. The rooms were nice and quiet, with no intrusive noise from anywhere else. I would say the rooms were more traditional in design, but as we weren’t there to buy the room, only sleep there, it was perfect! (I never understand why people moan on trip advisor if the room isn’t brand new 🤷♂️) The gentleman who cleaned our room was a lovely, friendly chap. He left the room spotless every day, and certainly took pride in his job. The breakfast at the hotel is excellent. Plenty to choose from to satisfy all tastes. My wife is Coeliac, and the chef looked after her very well, and cooked her bacon separately every morning - to perfection I might add! We watched TV in the bar on Tuesday night as the England game was on, and chose to eat in the bar area. The food was good, and the service was excellent, as well as the price being quite reasonable for a hotel. Finally, checkout is not until 12:00pm, which is extremely helpful, certainly when your transfer is not until the afternoon, as ours was. Again, the hotel was really helpful, as well required a later checkout than 12:00pm, which they kindly accommodated at a reasonable cost of €15 per hour. Overall, we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this fantastic hotel, its staff and its location!
