Ikyk Hotel

Booked this hotel to visit a festival taking place inside Malta. If you are going for party purposes location factor is the best, however you are so close to the party strip in st Julian’s. It results to substantial noise coming through very thin glass windows inside your room. You will not get a wink of sleep until 5am everyday, where the cleaners will then knock on your door at 8am and if told no would not clean your room all day. Rooftop pool is atrocious no music, cigarette butts by the pool and a bar that requires you to travel to the 1st floor to get drinks. Waiting time for the lifts were 10-20 minutes 90% of the time through cleaners constantly using, So if you don’t mind stairs this is the place to be. Do not recommend for anyone intending to relax.

Good location when arriving from the airport by bus. It’s around a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. Handy for a walk to the shopping centres and to bus stops, the ‘strip’ and museum. Room was clean, had everything we needed. No frills but we were only staying one night. Check in wasn’t available until 3pm but we were able to leave our luggage whilst we went out sightseeing. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included and that was good. Lots of options, plenty of everything. We really enjoyed it. Hotel was funky in its decor. We slept well. All good

Firstly the room had a window but it only looked into the opposite rooms window so no external view, a lot of the rooms just look into a square area in the middle of the hotel, where everyones windows look into. The hotel was constantly filled with young adults between the ages of 16 - 19, noisy throughout the day screaming at each other in this middle area, felt like school/ college trips visiting. The lifts took ages to move between floors as there was two lifts but used by everyone including cleaners to get up and down.

Despite of being unwell during my stay, I would like to say thank you very much for much to all the staff who looked after me. Special mention to Rhea the manager, two Filipino receptionist plus all the staff at the restaurant. I salute the you all for the services you given beyond my expectations. It’s tough not to able to enjoy my holiday in Malta but at least I see a bit of it. More Power.

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend after the Malta half marathon. We paid £40pp for a room with a hot tub on the balcony and breakfast. The staff were lovely and friendly, the room was spacious and clean, breakfast was tasty too. No complaints from us. Thank you IKYK, will definitely be returning.
