Domaine De Grand Baie

The pictures looks amazing, and one first glance when you walk in it looks OK. We had the penthouse, and we were expecting to be impressed. We weren't! - The apartment was dirty. The floor had not been cleaned. - One of the beds had not been made, and even had dirty pillow cases on. - The towels had stains on them, disgusting. - The AC didn't work in the bedroom. - The bathroom towels were tiny, not sufficient for showering. - The overall apartment was not cleaned. - Even though it has a kitchen they only provided 1 dish cloth, and nothinf to wash the dishes or wipe the sides down. - Eventhou we had half board, they wanted to charge us water when having dinner and breakfast. - Breakfast buffet, when the food finished they didn't replace it. There's only one coffee machine and the queue was huge. - The view from the balcony was a construction site. Overall, for the price we paid we were thoroughly disappointed. The team did come and clean and sort the beds and towels out, but when paying this much, it should have been done before we arrived. The Manager Stephen said he would look to provide a discount or refund, but it's been a week and I've not heard anything from them.

A good hotel with overall a nice ambience. However the cleanliness requires a lot of work. The room had ants roaming all over the kitchenette. However, all this seems minor when one sees the very murky pool (especially when seen at night once the pool lights are switched on). The practice where the hotel seemed to have no objection with parents taking their infants inside the pool (diapers and all..... Yuck). That really put us off !!! What a sad state of affairs ! The shuttle bus was excellant though the breakast menu was repetitive and ther was little variety between one day to another. Overall average.

A memorable stay at this beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, up to date facilities, the most beautiful things about this property is the Staff. The service at the restaurant was just wow, appreciate their implication and human approach A special thanks to the General Manager, Christine, again thank you for your daily support, especialy for my old age parents

I went to Domaine de Grand Baie this weekend and booked a studio room on half board basis for 2. Here's how I would describe it: Studio Room: Deluxe comfort + VERY Clean (10/10) + VERY spacious for a studio with a shared balcony. Best feature of the hotel (100/10 for me): Spa by Sothys with Indoor Hydropool, Sauna and Hammam included in all meal plans. Complete relaxation is guaranteed.😌 (Make sure to book in advance at the spa reception) There is a nice outdoor pool as well. Overall Atmosphere: Serene/ Peaceful/ Romantic 😌 Excellent Service Quality (9/10) very polite and professional staff, with special thanks to receptionist Tina, who attended all my requests promptly and Preety, from the spa team, who was so kind and helpful. Food: 8/ 10 😌(Medium-sized Dinner Buffet and Breakfast buffet) with spectrum of veggies, local fruits (as salad), ample options as main course and some fine delicacies as dessert (creme Brulée, cheesecake, sponge cake...). Also, different themed dinner buffet each day which is very interesting, especially for long stay guests. Also, the hotel provides different leisure plans/ trips each day e.g., visits at local food stalls (Lakaz Sandrine etc) + transfers to local beaches (since the hotel is located at the heart of Grand Baie), and many more, which is ideal for tourists. So definitely VALUE FOR MONEY, a pleasant experience at an affordable rate. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND.

We stayed in a one bedroom appartment. It was extremely clean and we were well equipped with a kitchen, dining room & even a washing machine. The staffs were friendly and food was also extremely delicious and healthy. Our special thanks goes to Yeshna who was a good host and organised a cake for our wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay!
