I recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Hilton Mauritius, and the experience was consistently excellent from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, set in a stunning location on the west coast, but what truly stands out is the quality of the people who work there. A special mention goes to Wenda Mohammed, who oversees the public areas. She brings a level of care and professionalism that is immediately noticeable. Each time I visit, she ensures everything runs smoothly and that guests feel genuinely welcomed and looked after. Her attention to detail and calm, efficient manner reflect not only her own dedication but also the strength of the team she leads. It was also a pleasure to meet the general manager, whose warmth and leadership clearly set the tone for the entire hotel. Across the board, the staff are friendly, attentive, and committed to delivering a memorable experience. It’s clear that there is a strong culture of hospitality here. Overall, I’ve met some truly wonderful people during my visits, and it makes all the difference. Thank you to everyone for the consistently high standard of service. I highly recommend this hotel and very much look forward to returning again soon.

Our stay at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa was truly unforgettable — not only because of the stunning location and facilities, but above all because of the incredible people who make this place so special. We genuinely felt surrounded by kindness, care, and authenticity every single day. I would love to personally recognize some amazing individuals who made our stay exceptional: Resheebye (restaurant bookings) – always incredibly helpful and proactive. She even assisted us with a pre-order at the Thai restaurant on the day of our departure, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Jannick (Pomme D’Amour) – always welcoming us with a warm smile and positive energy. She even taught us a few words in French and Creole, which added such a lovely personal touch. Cunden – a gentleman who clearly commands great respect among the team. He was constantly ensuring everything ran perfectly, quietly taking care of details, clearing tables, and always ready to help. His attentiveness and warmth did not go unnoticed — at one point we had to tell him we were just smiling at him because of his kindness, not because we needed anything! Nikhil – extremely attentive and observant. Plates never stayed on the table for long — his level of awareness and care was outstanding. Nitin & Aurore (Concierge) – always approachable and helpful. Aurore even helped us print our daughter’s homework instantly — a small gesture that meant a lot during our trip. Kalpeel (Sunset Bar) – one of the warmest and most genuine people we met. His smile is unforgettable! He welcomed us on arrival and we made sure to see him again before departure. The drinks were fantastic — both for adults and for our daughter (best iced tea in the resort!). Dikila & Bhavis (Thai Restaurant) – both incredibly kind and attentive. Conversations with Dikila made our evenings truly special — she is such a genuine and lovely person. We also want to mention another waiter working with her (we sadly don’t remember his name) who noticed we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and surprised us with a cake — such a thoughtful and unforgettable gesture. Aude – a true spark of energy! Always moving, always engaged, making sure everything around her was perfect. Adria – welcoming guests with warmth and a beautiful smile. You can clearly see the respect she has within the team. Cynthia – simply the best omelettes at breakfast! Rajinee – always smiling and incredibly kind. She made the best coffee — my husband kept coming back just for her! We built such a lovely connection that we made sure to find her before leaving to say goodbye. Shan – very engaged, attentive, and detail-oriented, always ensuring cleanliness and comfort. Shorab – if there was a plate nearby, it never stayed there for more than a second! Discreet, efficient, and always smiling. Christopher (Front Desk Manager) – incredibly professional and supportive, both before our arrival and throughout our stay. His help and responsiveness made a real difference and set the tone for a smooth, welcoming experience from the very beginning. Medical Room Team – when our daughter was bitten by a fire ant, the concierge quickly took us there and we received immediate and professional help. It’s very reassuring to have such care available on-site. Natasha (pool towels) – her daily smile and warmth by the pool made our days even brighter. Vanessa (Coquillages) – helped us on our first day when we arrived late and still managed to arrange lunch for us. Extremely responsive, kind, and attentive. Eric (Kids Entertainment Team) – fantastic energy! The Easter activities (including egg hunting) were beautifully organized — and he’s also a great singer! Beyond the people, the hotel itself is exceptional: The hotel is located on Flic en Flac beach, which is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. The sand is soft, fine, and almost powder-like, and the lagoon offers ideal conditions for snorkeling — calm, clear water and easy access straight from the shore. The facilities are fantastic: Beautiful, well-maintained pools (not over-chlorinated — a big plus!) Spotless beach and perfectly kept gardens Boathouse with pedalos and snorkeling equipment A convenient on-site shop with souvenirs, clothing, and even essentials like creams for insect bites There is also a secure parking area behind a barrier, which gives great peace of mind when renting a car. The location is perfect for exploring the island: Chamarel – around 1 hour drive Casela Nature Parks – only about 15 minutes away Easy access to the north and other parts of the island (roughly 1 hour drive in most directions) The restaurant offering is excellent: The Thai restaurant was outstanding (Pad Thai, spring rolls, steamed dumplings — all exceptional) Pomme D’Amour offered themed buffet evenings — the Asian night was phenomenal Coquillages (beachfront French restaurant) served beautifully composed dishes with a daily changing menu The only small note would be the Indian restaurant, where the quality felt below the otherwise very high standard. We also loved the beach bar drinks — from Ti Punch and Passion Paradise to amazing virgin options like passion fruit mojito and daiquiri with fresh fruit. A special mention goes to the housekeeping and grounds team — almost invisible, yet everything was always spotless. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day, towels refreshed, and little surprises left for our daughter, who loved checking how her toys were arranged each time. The spa experience was another highlight. I had a “Mommy & Me” treatment with my daughter — we had massages side by side, which made it incredibly special. She absolutely loved it, and it became one of her favorite memories from the trip. And something unexpected but wonderful — the water quality in the hotel made our skin soft and hair look amazing! This is a place we truly don’t want to leave. Our daughter asked on the day of departure: “Are we coming back tomorrow?” — which says everything. Hilton Mauritius has so much to offer, but what makes it truly exceptional are the people. Their kindness, attention, and authenticity create an atmosphere you simply want to return to. We will definitely be back.

Something to point out about the staff across the Hilton from arrival, check in and checkout by reception (Hoonish, thank you), the bars (Neevesh, thank you) and other restaurants (Rohit, thank you). You can train people but the generous nature of the staff is natural, always looking to ensure you are well looked after, so gentle and kind. They are amazing, all of them. Thank you you made our holiday special. Sorry for not remembering all your names, you are wonderful.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained, family friendly hotel. At the main restaurant is a wonderful spread of food for non-vegetarians, with a separate corner for pork items which is helpful for non-pork eating clients. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and polite - shout out to Maya :) The spa services - especially the massage - are exquisite. All in all, staying at Hilton is a value-for-money experience.
