Excellent service throughout our stay, we were never left waiting for drink service anywhere in the hotel. Particular shout out to guys at the beach bar, great drinks, service and welcome vibe. Ginger Thai and Indian restaurants very good, and we were grateful to get bookings at both during our short stay. One negative, building is dated, but everything else makes up for this

Overall, we had a good stay at Hilton Mauritius. The property itself is beautiful — spacious rooms, great architecture, well-maintained grounds, and good food. The location and overall resort vibe make for a very relaxing family vacation. That said, there were a few guest experience gaps that were surprising for a luxury resort. One policy felt particularly odd — despite paying for the dining experience, even basic table water during dinner was chargeable. Not premium bottled water or packaged consumption, but basic hydration during a meal. It felt less like hospitality and more like monetising a necessity, especially while dining with family and kids. The kids activity centre also felt largely inactive during our stay. Activities rarely ran as per schedule and the space lacked enough engagement or amenities for children. There were also a few operational misses — for example, it took more than 30 minutes and multiple follow-ups for a luggage trolley to arrive during checkout. None of these individually ruined the experience, but together they created some inconsistency in the overall guest experience expected from a Hilton property. Still, the stay in general was enjoyable and relaxing. I also shared detailed feedback addressed to the GM — hopefully it reaches the right leadership team and helps improve the experience further.

This is a beautiful property and in fact this is our second time at the resort. However this time I had forgotten a thick silver band in the sink area of the bathroom in our room when we left for our day excursion. I had realised on leaving itself that I had forgotten my ring however being a good hotel I thought no one would bother taking a silver ring. On coming back in the evening I discovered the ring gone! We searched all over the room before contacting the housekeeping. We spoke with hotel manager and housekeeping management. However all they kept saying is they will investigate. This was literally a day prior to our check out and there was no resolution or solution till the time we actually checked out the next day. The only people who had been to our room between the time the ring went missing was housekeeping to clean the room. I mean how long can an investigation take? Every hotel has a hotel log on who cleans what room! How difficult can it be to catch the person? The hotel has a picture also of what the ring looks like! Extremely disappointed by the management.
