Wonders Beach Boutique Hotel

I was very pleased to see that the place is very cozy n full of surprises... the night service at the restaurant was just amazing i want to thanks Mr Shakti the restaurant manager for his professionalism n his kindness he is a very good person... the waitress Miss Lucia oh la la so sweet n kind... the chef Mr Jean Luc Oumesh extraordinary dishes you r amazing 100%. If you r looking for a place to chill n have a good time it is a must the place to be.

It was perfect—the food was great, the service was excellent (shakti,Lucia Assia)—it was quiet and very pleasant; I’d definitely come back anytime.

I chose Mauritius for my 50th birthday, I was alone because I wanted just relax and it was perfection ❤️ I was treated like a princess at Wonder beach hotel. It’s an elegant new cosy hotel to the beach, where Mr Kunal together with the amazing girls Vanisha, Danishes and Deeksha will welcome you, at the reception, at your arrival with all the informations you need to know and they will be always there to help you with any issues. It’s much better to book the excursions directly with them at the hotel or even before your arrival contacting them through email, as I did. Then at the restaurant Mr Shakti, Mr Lucia, Anisa and Rai will give you the best tip for choosing the meal and also for tasting the best cocktails. The menu is à la carte, only for breakfast you have a buffet and I tell you, it is nice for lunch and for dinner to order from the menu, especially when it’s full of great dishes. I’m Italian, I know good food and they have a very good cuisine, national and international. There is a nice gentle Indian guy, unfortunately I forgot the name, who can cook very good spicy omelettes every day. The restaurant is in front of the beach and beside the pool, there is an very elegant atmosphere. The hotel is not big, but it’s 5 stars, the best place to have a real relax far away from stress and I had also a beautiful big room with see view. The beach in front of the hotel it’s very pretty but small, the fantastic thing is that it’s a strategic place 😄 you can walk on the left side to the very big beach of Trou aux Biches and on the right side to the beautiful beach of Mon Choisy in very few minutes… and they are amazing white beaches with a blu intense see full of colorful fish 🐠 …almost forgot to tell you that the evening of my 50th birthday, without telling me, they prepared a birthday cake for me, so touching!!! We live here in Mauritius, I booked an evening package for Valentine's Day. It was good value considering the hotel rack rate is North of 300 Euro. There are four parking spaces out front and we were lucky to get one. Greeted by name, given a cursory description of how the deal would work. Found the bar, sat down and drank some wine. Nice outlook, calm and serene vibe. Small pool, limited beach. About 50 covers in the restaurant. A local man played guitar and tried hard to sing. Dinner started at 7pm. By 7.01 all the good tables with the sea view went, nonetheless we got one with a Western outlook to the sunset, which is obscured by a large tree on the beach unfortunately. This is where it all starts to go Pete Tong.. So our package includes unlimited drinks (which is fine, and the wine is pretty good). And dinner. But looking at the menu most all of it has a price. We summoned a waiter to explain, who says we can have a salad, or one of four starters, plus any main course which doesn't have a star against it. That leaves us a choice of two things. My menu had two main course pages in it and the starter page missing, so once that's sorted I choose squid and chicken. Mrs T chooses fish gluons and fish. The starters are straight out of the freezer, aren't heated through and / or served tardily. Mrs. T can't tell whether hers was fish or chicken, I have to remind her it's the former. Both are very chewy and don't taste of much. They come in a little basket with a sherry glass filled with gloopy sauce (me) and sweet chilli sauce (her) both out of a jar / bottle. The main courses look identical; flabby chips, a tired looking lump of salad, and the other. In Mrs T's case the fish is Capitaine (I think) and not too bad, although she reckons it was frozen. My chicken is dry, lukewarm, tasteless and inedible. I take one bite and leave the whole thing untouched.. Mrs. T eats her fish. This is supposed to be a five star joint. I don't know about the rooms, but this "food" should never have left the kitchen. The owners are running the place for max profit and clearly don't care about the customer experience and repeat business. I can't imagine how they get so many five star reviews? I'd give them minus stars if I could. That said, the staff were nice and tried really hard. They know the food they are serving is rubbish. If I'd paid several hundred Euro to stay here I'd be wanting to speak to the owners and tell them exactly what I think before baling out and going to another hotel. Wonders Beach? The only Wonder is that they manage to stay in business serving food that the local stray dog pack would turn its nose up at. We won't be back.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Wonders Beach Boutique Hotel. The hotel is relatively small which made for a quiet and relaxed ambience. The location is perfect with the beach area easily accessible close to the pool and restaurant area. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals were superb, We can recommend this hotel, everything easy first class.
