Bahia Principe Escape Tequila

Pleased on arrival, reception reasonably quick and the room large and clean. However:- parasols/sunshade - was sparse in the quieter pool which we mainly used, there were 33 pairs of sunbeds with a parasol and 40 WITHOUT. So if you have fair/sensitive skin or like me suffered from skin cancer you need to get down early. Plenty of sunbed later in the day if you are ok with being in the sun all the time. Restaurants - we were informed about the 9 restaurants at reception and asked to use the app to book them. When we tried they were ALL booked throughout our stay except for the buffet, it was only after we complained several times did we manage to get to use them. they said it was because the guests at the other hotels in the group could also book them. Noise - it is ok the quieter pool until 4pm when the pool/foam parties start up in the adjoining pool and sometimes in the quieter pool area. These go on into the early evening then around they start up again at 8 until late, usually 11.30 but one until the early hours of the morning. Minor issues in room - no USB sockets, or long mirror and in the large shower there is a notice saying the floor is slippy when wet, which it is, but a grab rail is required Staff are generally helpful and pleasant especially Alex in the buffet restaurant but the bartender in the lobby bar gets grumpy after 10.40 and he restricts the types of drinks he will serve as it delays his clearing up before the bar shuts at 11pm. In short the hotel could be described as a modern day 18-30 club holiday with loud music , little variety in entertainment except for the parties. Clean with helpful staff. We will not be returning.

Our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tequila was absolutely amazing, and getting to share it with my wife made it even more special. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how incredibly friendly and welcoming everyone was. The staff truly go above and beyond—they greet you with genuine smiles, remember you, and make you feel like you’re not just a guest, but part of the family. Whether it was the front desk, the servers, or even the grounds crew, everyone seemed happy to help and always took the time to say hello. The resort itself felt like paradise. Between the beautiful beach, the lush surroundings, and the peaceful adults-only areas, it was the perfect place for us to relax and reconnect. We spent our days by the pool with drinks in hand, laughing and just enjoying each other’s company, and our evenings walking along the beach watching the sunset—those are memories we’ll always hold onto. One thing that really stood out was how the staff made every experience feel personal. At the restaurants, the service was not only great but warm and attentive. Dinners felt like little date nights, with friendly servers making recommendations and checking in just the right amount without ever feeling intrusive. Even the small interactions meant a lot—bartenders joking with us, staff asking how our day was going, and always making sure we had everything we needed. That level of kindness made the whole trip feel even more relaxing and enjoyable. What made this trip truly unforgettable wasn’t just the beautiful location, but the combination of amazing service, a welcoming atmosphere, and the time I got to spend with my wife. It was the perfect mix of romance, fun, and genuine hospitality. We left already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place where you’ll feel truly taken care of and appreciated.
