ABC Hotel Porto Boavista

Zůstali jsme tam 2 noci. Čisté místnosti, ale příliš malé. Pěkná služba. Dobrá snídaně. Pro hosty s vozem není možnost parkování. Přijeli jsme pozdě v noci a dívka nám pomohla objednat si pizzu do našeho pokoje. Nachází se vedle centrálního autobusového nádraží a metra, proto je velmi hlučné! ! ! !

Hotel is central but it’s right next to the metro and it’s 02:30 in the morning as I write this and cannot sleep because of the noise of the metro! And I have noise reducing AirPods in!! We realised as soon as we got in our room this was an issue and the reception staff said the metro stops around 1am. But they’re still running at gone 2am! There wasn’t another room to move us to that wasn’t affected by the noise so we’re stuck here for 7 days! Room is small but very clean and attended every day by housekeeping. Shower is in the room itself which is weird. Very little Storeage space and no wardrobe, just 6 hangers on a rail above the fridge which doesn’t work. Breakfast is great and in our experience, plenty of it and we’ve been there early and latest was 10am and it was fine. Staff are super friendly and efficient. The place is spotlessly clean and we haven’t experienced a musty smell at all, as reported by some guests. Bed is big and very comfortable.

Very friendly, helpful personnel , really nice people. So, this was the nic pare of our stay. But the place itself is a little bit tired, has unpleasant musty smell, breakfast was nothing special lus the hotel has extremely bad internet connection. There is a bus stop right next to it . As the place is surrounded by the construction sites don’t hope for a daytime rest even earplugs don’t cover it. And it is standing over the train racks so at adds noise to the construction cacophony.

It would be a good hotel. If it weren't for the flaws, one of which is unsolvable. The easily resolvable ones, although annoying, are the frayed curtain of the window through which the sun enters from early morning with direct rays that take away sleep. The other strange and banal: in the room there is a coffee machine, but in my six days of stay they did not refill the first 2 coffee capsules, so this coffee machine is just a decorative object. Finally, the most crucial one is that the metro passes right under the hotel rooms with a very loud sound from early morning until late at night. This noise has accompanied me these days and is really unpleasant for me.

The room was fine but small. Front desk staff were fantastic. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Get there first thing. Did not appreciate the subway train rumbling past our window continuously. Would we go back, no, the location was just ok.
