Kinder- und Familienhotel Nockalm

It was a last minute booking with my family ( two children aged 4 and 2). We arrived just before lunch and did not find anywhere to stop on the road before the hotel so we asked if it would be possible to have lunch at the hotel. The receptionist was extremely kind and said he would ask as usually you must request lunch before 10am. We understand this but maybe if the hotel would let guests know before arriving that they must do this via email. The waitress, was in one word rude. My kids were playing with some lego on our table and she asked me something in German. Unfortunately I do not speak it but asked if perhaps she spoke English or Italian as I speak both. She sort of grunted rolled her eyes and asked if we had ordered lunch. When I said yes she said “eat where?” looking at the table where the lego was. I explained I’d move it before the food arrived and it just stomped off. Her attitude was like this the duration of our stay. Room- was perfect. It was basic but we loved how the kids bunk bed was nestled in the corner and by the window you had table and chairs if you wanted to sit and play cards in the room. My only problem with the room was that we couldn’t lock the door and my youngest is going through the phase of opening doors. Perhaps safety bolts higher up would be helpful. Restaurant/ Food- good selection for dinner. Lunch was a set menu. Breakfast was also a great selection and regularly topped up as well. Kids’s area- this is why we picked the hotel and we were not disappointed! The indoor area was fab with a great selection of games. Also good quality. Sometimes in kids areas you find the toys half broke or with pieces missing. This wasn’t the case. Now for the best part … the garden area. It just kept on going. First you have the slides with the bouncy castle. The animals which are all friendly. Then you walked down the hill and find the trampoline with slides, swings and sand pits. THEN you go on even further and find a “percorso” under the trees which my eldest loved! Thank you so much! We’ll be back again soon!!

very sympathic owners & staff, very clean room & public spaces, super indoor swimming pool as well as very nice wellness, nice restaurant with good and enough food, wine card, ski room as well as heated ski shoes room, private parking, hotel on the ski pistes!!

During our shorter winter vacation, we experienced that this hotel is a great place for holidays with children. They get everything they need, from children's playroom, paddling pool, gadgets, fun in the snow... Rooms are large with small balcony and nice view. Spa is spacious and comfortable Food is very good and menu is adapted to children. Place is very clean and staff is very friendly. Parking is free. The ski slopes are close.

It was a trip of 2 families - both with one kid. And all of us were perfectly satisfied. The way the hotel thinks about needs of parents is great! Starting from hotel equipment, meals especially for kids, paddling pool, gadgets we could borrow or even take... Wow! Skiing: if you do not need to explore new slope with every ride, it is great! This ski resort is - in comparison to famous Austrian resorts rather small, but perfectly sufficient! Hotel is very close to the ski lift. Would I come back? Definitely YES!!!

I was there with my family together with friends and their family. The place itself is good. The location, the rooms, the food could have been a good choice, but the service!!! The manager complained that our children were loud. Perhaps they were. They are children and they just learn how to do things. So we were told not to come back!!!! Never happened to us but believe me that was not the first time and so far we were always welcomed everywhere for the se ond time as well! To be fair the food was very good. The rooms are clean and good. The walls are thin as paper. You can hear the neighbours all the time. If you want to find a real family place than you should not choose that place.
