Vital-Hotel Post

Vital-Hotel Post is a nice and very well kept property in Dienten in the heart of the Hochkoenig region, just next to a hiking-bus stop and less than 5 minutes walk from the ski lifts. The hotel stands out due to its exceptionally friendly staff and service, complemented by excellent facilities and delicious meals. They also expanded the hotel last year, and the resulting new part of the restaurant plus the new (expanded) rooms are just as you would have hoped: perfect! This was our second visit to the hotel with our extended family, and the experience was at least as good as the first one two years ago, if not even better. I warmly recommend Vital-Hotel Post to anyone interested in warm Salzburgerland hospitality in a beautiful setting with excellent and very versatile hiking (and skiing in winter) infrastructure right on the door-step.

Stayed here for a week around Xmas with our whole family. This place is amazing. You are taken excellent care of by the most friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Simply thinking already the next visit. Also very short walking distance from the ski lifts. Garage available.

We spent two nights at Vital Hotel Post during a hiking trip. The owner, Thomas Burgschwaiger, was so welcoming and very helpful in advising us on hikes, and was a good guide on one of the hikes we took. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful as well. Our room was large, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast, dinner, and mid-afternoon Jause were all delicious. We would love to return in the winter for skiing.

We enjoyed such a warm welcome from all members of the family and their team. The food was excellent as was the service. The walking advice was perfect for us. The free minibus trip was an excellent and unexpected start to the next stage of our walking holiday. And when I inadvertently left a top in the room Anna kindly parceled it up; it was there waiting when I returned to the UK. Not the cheapest but the service and quality made this superb value. We would return in a hear beat and are planning to book for the ski season.

Excellent service provided during out stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, advising us on our hiking route and even giving us a lift to the start point. The food was also excellent. This hotel has great facilities, a spa and pool, I would recommend for anyone.
