Hotel-Gasthof Andreas

My family wanted to try the ski slopes in East Tyrol, so this fine Saturday morning I got stuck in the village of Obertilliach. Of course everything was shut. The only cafe in the village had shut at midday and would not open till Monday. The shops were shut as well, so I ended up at Andreas B&B. BAD CHOICE! As soon as I got in I was greeted by a cloud of tobacco smoke (though it is illegal to smoke in restaurants). I was seated by a young lady that could barely speak German, or English, or French, or Italian. She of course had no clue of what the dishes on the menu were (i.e. I asked for meat dumplings and got potato dumplings, though I was specific about wanting meat). The food was ok for the place, but unless you want a schnitzel steer well away. Shame for the great view! My family had a similar experience on the slopes, the medium difficulty pistes were very narrow, with very sharp turns and loads of locals showing off to the lowly tourists. DANGEROUS!!! The blue slopes were full of children and beginners, and the young man manning lift E was paying more attention to a young lady he was chatting up (he actually took her inside the adjoining hut), abandoned his position for almost 30mins leaving parents and children to cope for themselves!!!! If you ever get to Obertilliach drive right through, as quickly as you can! On a positive note, the Tourist Information Office was very good; Very well informed and willing to pass on helpful information, great attitude towards tourists. The Sports goods and ski rental store (AUER) is well worth a stop for equipment essentials. Such a shame!

Beautiful room with Wifi, however there is a problem with flies in the room and the restaurant (a lot of cows in this village).. Meals are sufficient but not very inspirational (breakfast good but not great, at noon soup and salad bar, diner : choice between two simple 3-menus. In all-inclusive free drinks are no longer available after 9 PM. Coffee only available at certain times. No lunch-packets available for all-inclusive customers that stay away all day. Room could not be darkened at night because curtains are very light.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, gemütlich und sauber. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Es fehlte uns an nichts am Buffet. Auch der Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich gut. Gerne wieder 👍🏻❤️

Hotel davvero accogliente, camere molto grandi e tanta attenzione per i bambini. La SPA è davvero eccezionale, una delle più complete mai viste (saune, bagni turco, idromassaggio, grotte si sale, docce sensoriali etc .. Cibo ottimo ed abbondante sia a colazione che a cena. Ci ritorneremo con la neve!!

Belle stanze, bellissima zona spa. Camere spaziose luminose. Se avete esigenze alimentari particolari, come allergia o intolleranze, non consiglio la mezza pensione, non sono molto attenti alla contaminazione
