Die Arlbergerin

I have stayed here twice, both in the Die Arlbergerin and in the adjacent Der Steinbock and both times it has been terrific and helped to make the trip. Poppsy and Matias the owners are super nice and the entire staff follows suit and is really friendly and they run a tight ship. I really enjoy the variety of gin and tonics and schnapps in the bar and the breakfast is always excellent. (the steampunk fresh orange juice machine is particularly cool) There is a free bus that picks you up right in front of the hotel that is two stops away from the Nasserein gondola which is quite convenient. I have worked at a ski resort for over 20 years so i really appreciate it when there is minimal shlepping of gear. This place is terrific and I will stay there again next time i go to St. Anton

Gracious, warm hotel short walk from ski lift, away from hustle of town center. Thoroughly modern rooms yet cozy traditional dining room with superb breakfast and carefully prepared Austrian fare at dinner. Staff so pleasant and welcoming.

This was my third visit. The accomodation is very comfortable and the hotel had a good spa. It is is a 15 mins walk from the centre and away from all of the St Anton razz. Having eaten in various “top” restaurants in the town the Sonnbichl in the hotel was by far the best. Breakfasts are superb.

If you are looking for a place to stay in St Anton - stay here!! 5 STARS! 1. the price is great - especially if you stay at the pension part of the hotel - the pension is attached to the hotel and you have to share a shower - but for the price, it is absolutely worth it - and I never had to wait for the shower - over a 7 day trip ---- tip dont book on booking.com as the price is 15% more - book direct with the hotel 2. It is a 5 or 10 min bus ride ( depends on which tram you want to take) from just outside the hotel to the slopes. Bus comes every 15 mins and it is free. 3. The hotel gives you a ski locker at the slopes so you dont have to carry your gear everyday - huge plus 4. Downtown is a 15 walk so easy to take the Bus into the city - have dinner and walk back - its also nice not to have the noise that you would have if you stayed in a downtown hotel. 5. Barbera the manager is fantastic - she makes sure you feel at home and she will give you insight into any of the local stuf
