Avani+ Barbarons Seychelles

Decided to travel solo to Seychelles and I lodged at Avani+ barbarons and I must say it was the best choice

Absolutely loved the sushi – fresh, flavorful, and truly mouth watering! Huge thanks to Amit, a friendly and talented sushi chef who made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food and great vibes all around!

We spent 3 nights at this resort this May end. Located at a very pleasant 30 minutes’ drive from the airport along a scenic route, the resort felt very relaxed and laid back. We were welcomed with a coconut and lime ice cream stick which hit the right spot. Check in was smooth and we were shown to our lawn facing room, with zero view of the sea, which left us disappointed. On enquiry, we were told that beach facing rooms were available at an extra cost. We chose the one nearest to the beach, paid for it n shortly were allocated our new rooms. The room on the ground floor was very spacious, clean and well maintained. However the lighting in the room was poor and surprisingly, there was no light above the mirror provided. The bathroom had all the necessary amenities although the towels supplied felt too bulky for using. One drawback noticed was the lack of adequate storage space. There were open wardrobes but no storage space in there either. Also, the AC appeared to be placed inside a wooden box and the whole contraption made a weird rumbling noise, which felt disturbing. The property is on the small side but quite pretty. The breakfast buffet had a variety of veg options for us, thankfully. We also enjoyed a yummy pizza while waiting for the change of our room the first evening. But sadly, lunch and dinner had very limited fare for our tastes. After consultation with the restaurant, we tried the veg fried rice and stir fry the first night but it didn't satisfy our palate. We then stuck to only breakfast the remaining days. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Laheru, Benua, Tenuha, Kaveesha, Kartik, Sujith, Romeo, Jorita, Richard, Roshan, Heshan, Oscar, Nandy, Biniam and Dinesh, from the Front office and the Restaurant, who all served us very well. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay at this resort.

Avani was a great stay, the staff are simply amazing and the hospitality made all the difference with the great views and facilities this place has to offer. Avani was a great place to stay for our honeymoon to relax and recharge, can’t recommend enough! Shoutout to the great staff a few of the names we were able to get Lyra, Cannon, Justin, Kaveesh and Bhanuprasad! Thank you all, room 233 xx
