Cote d'Or Lodge

This place has the makings of being a really nice place to stay, however misses the bar in several ways. The wifi is terrible and expensive. Even after paying the high rate, it was unusable. I get connectivity can be difficult on Praslin, maybe not charging for substandard things would be a good choice. The restaurant charged double for drinks compared to what was available in town, and didn't include anything without charging, including water. ($9 USD for a bottle of water is crazy) We ended up walking to the mini-mart nearby and stocking up on gallons of water we kept in our room. We did the same with beer & wine. The food was average, after a few meals we were no longer interested in their offerings and found interesting places to eat instead. The grounds were kept clean, except for the beach. To go beyond average, they should clean the beach daily. It's would not be a huge effort to rake it clean when the tide is low. Other hotels along the same beach did a much better job in this, noted as we walked it one day. The staff was indifferent on the issues, but the worst experience with them was the checkout, in which they insisted we pay the Seychelles taxes in cash. This wouldn't be an issue if they had an ATM on site instead of being a 40 minute round trip walk on a busy road. They made no attempts to solve this self-imposed problem. Being an average hotel is one thing, being an average hotel in the Seychelles is another. It's an expensive trip, the last thing travelers want is to be nickel and dimed at their lodging. I wouldn't say don't stay here, but I would say lower your expectations if you do.

venus à 8 en famille, nous avons passé un séjour idyllique au Côte d'or lodge. S'il n'y avait pas quelques petits désagréments (faux contact avec le sèche cheveux, pas de TV, wifi payant, porte qui raclait le sol), cet hôtel mériterait5 étoiles. Directement sur une plage paradisiaque avec de jolis bungalows, une piscine superbe, pas trop proche de la route, avec un personnel charmant et attentionné. Le dernier jour, on nous a attribué une chambre gratuitement car l'avion partait à 21H30. Bref, tout est beau et la plage sublime. Merci au directeur et à tout le personnel.

Location fantastica, Maurizio ( il direttore) e' attento a tutto in particolare cura la cucina come pochi o nessuno sa fare, tornerei in questa struttura anche perché è posizionata su una lingua di spiaggia stupenda.

Quelques jours passés dans ce petit coin de paradis. Des chambres propres et fonctionnelles donnant sur une magnifique plage sans doute une des plus belles de Praslin. Nous avions prévu dans notre voyage de changer d'établissement et sommes malgré tout revenus dans l'établissement pour y déjeuner et pour profiter de la magnifique plage. Un directeur très gentil et attentionné prendra soin de vous. Une cuisine à la fois traditionnelle et également européenne avec une touche d'Italie. Seul point étonnant, les chambres sans vue mer directe ne disposent pas de télé ( va visiblement changer même si cela ne fait pas de mal de se couper un peu du monde) et le wifi en chambre est payant mais reste tout à fait abordable. Bref rien de rédhibitoire et croyez moi vous ne serez pas déçu.

Tout était très bien au niveau de l'environnement, de l'accueil, de la restauration et de l'hébergement. La plage est superbe et relie un petit village typique avec beaucoup de services. Environnement très calme et idéal pour se relaxer. Buffets et services soignés. ( prévoir un budget pour les consommations) Ambiance familiale et décontractée. Bref !!! on a adoré
