Gala Placidia

We have been going to this hotel since the end of Covid and have enjoyed the experience every time. The staff are amazing and the food is fantastic. The rooms are spotless as is the rest of the hotel.we have a fantastic time every time we go.it’s the best and we are booked in twice in 2026 for eight days each stay. We are there on the 29 May to 6 June and 6 September to the 13 September. We are so looking forward to seeing the staff and having a great time.

After reading information on the food being cold, rude staff and paper thin walls, I was a bit worried about coming to this hotel. However, every member of staff I have spoken to has been extremely friendly and happy whilst working in this hotel. Food has not been cold, every meal time I have got stuff of the buffet it has been hot and excellently cooked, the only time the food has been cold was on my first night when I arrived at around 2115 but it is still edible even then. Drinks are good, only downside I would say is the beer is Amstel and I can only do one or two of them. The room I'm in is lovely, it was fresh smelling when I walked in and glad the hotel was able to accommodate me on a high floor as requested as I feel that it should be a high floor when you're in benidorm. The walls are not paper thin I cannot hear any noise at any time of the day or night unless you walk down the corridor to get to the lifts. If your thinking about booking the hotel it is definitely a good hotel to book plenty of bars and restaurants down the road so you can't go wrong if you come b&b or half board

This was the second time I had stayed here and the first time for my husband. The hotel is about 35-40 mins drive away from the airport if you get a private taxi and it cost €90 however, we shared with another couple so were able to split the cost which was lucky! There is also a coach transfer available which is every hour on the hour. You can buy the tickets at the bus stop. The hotel is perfectly located. About a ten minute walk from the strip and the beach which is spotlessly clean! Lots of supermarkets/shops nearby and more up Upmarket/wider choice ones in the old town. The hotel is so clean as well, beds and pillows very comfy and we had a balcony. Check in was easy and all the staff are super friendly and helpful! I got a ‘welcome back’ card and two bottles of water brought up to the room which was such a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. We paid for all inclusive which was a really good deal! The food was really good and varied, I am gluten intolerant and there was a good choice for me to eat. Local alcohol drinks are very good too and they don’t scrimp on measures! There was some fun entertainment in the afternoon such as Bingo and Beer Pong! And the evening entertainment was really good too! There were some guests in their 20s there but I think the majority were more mature. My husband really enjoyed his first time in Benidorm and we will definately return to Gala Placidia, hopefully later in the year for another long weekend! Thank you very much to all the staff!

Hotel staff were great! Laura N, and Laura O, and Ulises, and Alba were very attentive and looked after everyone! Great hotel, great atmosphere and for the price and location very very good!
