We stayed at Gran Hotel Bali as a family with a young child, and overall we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The room was decent in size, clean, and comfortable — perfectly adequate for a family stay. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning and really add to the overall experience. The location is also excellent, with the beach just a 5-minute walk away, making it very convenient when travelling with a child. The hotel facilities are well suited for families. The swimming pools are spacious and well kept, and there was some form of entertainment most evenings, which created a lively atmosphere. We particularly liked the lobby area, which has a unique character with its collection of pianos, motorbikes, and vintage cinema projectors — something quite different. There is also a kids’ soft play area (at an extra cost), along with a gym and spa for adults. We opted for half board. There was a reasonable variety of food, and it was easy to find something for both adults and children. However, the food itself was quite bland and tended to repeat over the days. It’s acceptable, but not a highlight. One area that could definitely be improved is the restaurant service — most of the staff did not appear particularly welcoming or engaged, which slightly affected the dining experience. One practical point to note for families: room towels cannot be taken outside to the pool or beach. Beach towels are available to rent at €5 per day with a €10 deposit per towel. We found it more convenient and cost-effective to buy beach towels from the nearby shops just outside the hotel — we picked up two for around €10 in total. On the positive side, other hotel staff were helpful and approachable whenever needed, which balanced things out. Overall, from a family perspective, this hotel works well — mainly due to the location, facilities, and overall comfort. It offers good value and a convenient base for a stay in Benidorm. With improvements in food quality and a more welcoming restaurant atmosphere, it could easily become an excellent family destination.
The hotel in general was brilliant, clean rooms, staff are so kind and helpful, but to check in the queue was really big, and the process took a long time, the food was average, nothing special.
Got food poisoning from the food. Had to miss the last day of Alucubano Salsa festival because of this.
The session was a bit short, only one hour, but it was very enjoyable, beautiful, relaxing experience and a lovely way to unwind. especially when outside is cloudy. A special mention to Elena, who was an excellent hostess. She made the whole experience feel welcoming and smooth from start to finish. The glass of champagne served at the end was a beautiful touch and made the visit feel even more special.
Arrived late last night explained I would like a low floor as claustrophobic in lifts they gave me room 102 on 1st floor. Eventually dropped off to sleep at 4.30am and was woken up by this horrendous house and bed vibrating went to reception at 6am and they said it was my fault for wanting a low floor. Not at all sympathetic. They said go to breakfast and they would change rooms after. Went to reception now say I have to wait until 12. So nowhere to sleep until then as room 102 is too noisy. Sadly lacking in customer care. So at this stage would not recommend
