Me Marbella

We chose ME Marbella when our Abu Dhabi holiday was cancelled. The hotel is excellent in terms of location; ten minute walk into Puerto Banus and a half hour walk to the start of the Golden Mile Marbella. The hotel is very clean and well-presented. We have stayed at IKOS Andalusia a couple of times and, personally, I preferred the two-bedroom suite at ME to the family suite at IKOS. The only downside was that there was no effective air-conditioning so we were too hot on a night. We reported this several times but, even though the engineer supposedly fixed it and the thermostat showed 16, it never ran remotely cold in bedroom two and the lounge. I dread to think how hot these rooms will feel in the summer! Breakfast is exceptional. The service is slick and the food choice excellent. We ate at the poolside restaurant twice and the food was good. The waitress with the bobbed dark hair (feels unfair to mention the name) came across as abrupt and not displaying warmth at all, but the rest for the team was lovely. We'd like to mention Adrian at the poolside bar for being particularly warm and friendly. The staff on reception were always welcoming and likewise the concierge on the whats app. It was a shame that the much advertised poolside DJ didn't ever materialise (the reception staff blamed it on the weather even though it was beautiful on the day that it was meant to happen). The concierge pushed the cocktail making class instead (seen lots of reviews raving about this) but we're not cocktail drinkers so we declined. We didn't realise until the concierge happened to mention, on the second (out of five) day stay, that our room rate included the choice of an experience. We chose the olive oil experience in Marbella. Maria hosted this very well and we particularly enjoyed it. We would recommend it. Overall the hotel is well kept and the room lovely (albeit too warm for us for sleeping). I would stay again, but first I would like to see how Puente Romano and Marbella Club compare - whether the price hike for a stay there is worth it.

A really lovely hotel, fantastic location less than 10 min walk in to Puerto Banús , which you will pass 3/4 restaurants right on the beach . Hotel staff were all wonderful, Lisa behind the bar , was so welcoming & was a joy to end our evenings speaking to her. Hotel food was plentiful , Rooms were very comfortable, even an evening turn down service. Will definitely return,

Amazing everything! We loved how nice and convenient everything was. Especially the location and the service was great, and we give this place our highest recommendations. The pool area is very cozy and great place to relax. Missing it already!

Beautiful newly refurbished hotel , friendly staff, got upgraded on arrival into really nice suite Breakfast really good , rooms very nice and trendy, we had free chocolate , champagne and water refill daily The food including lunch is very good and we ate there 3 times . Drinks good Clean hotel and very luxurious The only downside they don’t have outdoor heated pool but they have indoor small pool They booked us free transfer to Gibraltar airport too Can’t fault the service and kindness

John and Lisa were great. Really fun cocktail making class. Hotel is also 10:10, great service
